I think the answer is easier than that....
Static spaws no longer dropuber loot
Random spawn do
try camping a random spawn ..
mmm Mongo must camp random spawn...

I play this game to have fun.
Going to the GEO Lab me and 2 friends got all the way to the room before ackaly all of the sudden some DOC/Swordsman passes us up and starts to attack ackaly. We didn't have great PvP or PvE templates we shouldn't have to.
We where clearly their before him and since it was our first trip we where taking it slow. He in turned outdamaged us because we had to kill all the stuff on us first before we went to ackaly. Even after he killed ackaly all the aggo's on him he just left them on him.
Does anyone else see a Problem with this?
One player can ruin the fun of a whole group.
Now I know this is not afk looting but its the same principle.
By keeping people from having access to content you are griefing them.

we all get it man, im a Master Brawler/Swordsman/FS Melee with some good weapons and then along comes a group or some Jedi and grief's me
answer is I'm affraid mone instanced dungeons or the engagement rule as on EQ2
don't know if you've ever played EQ2 but I'll lay out that situation as it would happen over there
You get to Acklay
You attack acklay
Acklay and you (or your group) are now locked in combat
Master doc/swordsman turns up
Tries to attack Acklay (Grief you) and he gets the message "Creature is already in combat"
He then can stand and watch while you trash it or it kills youat which time he can have a pop at it.
the Sooner the better SOE.. works for me.. First Come First Serve, if you ain't up to the job move aside......

If he is a n00b you are too....you both have almost identical join dates. Watch were you point fingers.
I disagree that AFKr's are ruining the game. Only those that abuse the priveledge IMO.

I think some of you guys are getting the wrong impression of me.
Let me tell ya something.
I'm a speed capped, defence stacked, CA/AA'd, Pikeman with a 900+ dmg LVA. On a mob that takes kinetic damage I rarely meet a person or even pair of persons that can outdamage me. I'm not bragging but it is something I've spent a lot of time becoming. Here me out pls....
I've been to places like Nyax & Aakuans and agreed to take turns with people in getting the loot. I've even shared loot with some of these people that I don't know from Adam. BUT.... Loot is a big thing in this game, there are certain items I desperatly want and cann't afford - so I'm gonna go looting for either those items or something I can sell for the value of the item I want. That's all part of the game & that's part of why I play. You play Sim City to have the biggest bestest city, you play CS to pwn the most people, I want to have an "uber" character in the Star Wars Galaxy. I will play the best way I can to beat the system and enter the "elite" levels. BUT................
There are 2 things going on here:
1: I want to succeed & acheive in the game as does everyone else, though I personally draw the line at being rude enough to go and out damage someone who I can see has worked his way into a dungeon and is fighting a mob with a potential drop. Even if I've just spent 10 minutes getting to said location. I do that because I have some respect for the other players.
2: There is no point in complaining on the boards about this type of behavior because most of you will have noticed it is done by weekend players & people who come accross as being somewhat immature. Unfortunatly these people don't join the community, read the boards or for that matter 'care'.
What needs to be done is a few simple fixes & tweaks to level the playing field a bit, this really shouldn't be allowed by SOE to become the huge issue it is becoming.
*steps onto his soapbox*
There will always be someone who plays harder, hits harder & loots better than you & that's part of gaming. If they just did a bit of proper instancing all this incesant whining would stop.
*steps down*
*throws in his tupunce worth*

Iagree, ultimately SOE are to blame...
we get an instanced dungeon and its the super hard Corvette, how about instanced dungeons where they are needed, one's whereup and coming players who need the XP and lootcan progress...
a mixture of more instanced dungeons and combat locking will eradicate most if not all of the current griefing/kill stealing/camping issues.
