yeah nurf it for new players, but....
make the Legendary weaponsalready in the game never decay thus; they now last for ever
and they throw the word BALANCE around.....
I'm betting they couldn't stand up yet aloneBALANCEafter the nights hard drinking they had when in some insane drunken stupor, one dev (lifting his head up from a pile of vomit) suggested they put tradable non decay kits in the game that can be used to makelegendary weaponslast forever...

I never understood why all the good loot is dropped by static spawns that can be camped.
Corvette missions are challenging, I never been able to grab a power plant, but I do walk out with schematics and some giggledust.
They shoul put the good loot in corvette style missions.
Here are me reasons why.
1. Hunt for a ticket. You have to go on a search and delivery mission just to get aboard the corvette.
2. Lots of powerful MOBs. A person can't just sit in an empty room and what for the target to appear.
3. Time limit. A person only has 1 hour to complete the mission, don't leave much time for camping.
4. Have group Will travel. Corvettes need a good group to fight off MOBs, killing npc is the only way to loot them. Sure you can complete Corvette solo but you only get power plant and a schematic (which is good).
My point is. I think the Devs should put Big Loot in places like the Corvette where experience and teamwork will be considered an asset to the game.

5 star for you Ren. I second the idea that great loot (+15 stuff and legendery items) should be in dungons like the corvette or Geo lab where you have a time limit to finish the mission. Leave the +1 items on mid level spawns for noobs and leveling toons.

AFK campers deny live players access to content. Live players are in the game to enjoy themselves, and part of that is the various POI's. Live players also like some form of reward for their efforts, also denied by campers who plant themselves in the "main" room of a POI and AFK kill and loot.
There is no justification for AFK Camping. If the SOE Dev's don't want to lose players to other games, they will instance these POI's so that AFK camping becomes impossible for POI's. They will remove all static spawns (such as the everpresent thugs in front of the Moenia cantina) in exchange for random spawns.
You can't compare entertainers to AFK campers. Most every player will take a live entertainer over an AFK one when available, but AFK entertainers do not limit access to content like AFK campers do. Telling others to AFK camp, to use macros, to go buy super weapons to compete is just plain ignorant and shows that, while you may be an intelligent programmer you're still pretty stupid and have the social skills of slime mold.
SOE has to fix the problem in some manner, preferrably by instancing. You can instance any zone, so not every POI has to be in a cave or bunker, either but regardless its broke and is in need of repair.

I have to agree. As a Tka what chance do i have if there is an AFK bot with a powerhammer speed capped camping a poi. Its not so much that what he is doing is cheap its that those of us playing the game are prevented from doing so. Also the excuse that you are a long term player who has already done everything else or need attachments for your jedi forgets that the rest of us might actually be excited about some of the loot you don't care about. To me looting a +5 attachment is amazing to you it is one more thing for your inevitableforum auction to add another couple of million to your bank account while those of us who started later wonder when we get to play.

I'm not a fan of the afk entertainers (and will listen/watch live players if possible, and only tip live players), but please explain how an afk entertainer denies access to live entertainers.

So long as afk entertainer bots are allowed to deny access to content to live entertainersI fully support the right of combat bots to deny access to content to live combatants. Go afk farm bots go!

I don't complain about AFK campers and loothunters with extremely-high damage crafted/exceptional weaponry, I complain about the fact that the bulk of these people seem to think they're the only ones that are entitled to good loot in this game simply because they've got a bigger stick.

and Ebay to name a few ... Let's get the Devs to take actions to stop the crap that transpires from AFK camping and AFK campers will minimize like water on the Lar's family ranch.

If you mean AFK players are FORBIDDEN under the TOS and EULA...
Under Section 7 (poignant parts highlighted):
"You may not decrypt or modify any data transmitted between client and server; you may not use or distribute macros or other programs which would allow unattended game play or which otherwise impact game play."
I don't really see the leeway given in that statement. I see "you can't use or make public macros that would allow for unattended game play."
Just HOW is this "protecting" AFKers?

No it doesn't. I see "you may not use macros that allow for unattended gameplay" as well as "you may not distribute macros that allow for unattended gameplay." That's pretty cut and dry legalese - one forbids AFKing, the other forbids people from making known macros/selling macro guides.
That sentence nowhere implies that it's alright to AFK if you use self-developed macros.
