Unless they've removed it, when you click to customize the actor it even has a message that says that any clothing you put on the NPC will be lost....


I know it told me that when I tried it out a couple months ago. Don't know why they'd remove the message.

Exactly. There is a message warning you that any equipment or clothing giving to an NPC Actor/Rental will be lost. It says the same thing when you place things in rental containers.


You just have to READ the message before clicking 'OK' and you'll be fine...
