Its a reward from a quest. Talk to Krepauk right on the left side as you enter the Rryatt Trail, and he will send you to kill numerous things throughout the trail, the last being the Katarn.

You used to be able to solo the quest up to the Katarn but they scaled up the lvls of some of the creatures you need to kill. you need a group now, remember this is EQ in space.

The Katarn is lvl 87 with an AE attack that stuns, blinds and dizzies/

katarn knucklers are better then unarmed fight, been tested

yah they really are an awsome weapon, with pup and unsliced im getting over 700 dps.

If I can tank 2 Nightsister Stalkers (CL84) at the same time, I should be able to solo Katarn right?

Im going to try and solo it as TKM/MCM I can heal 1.1k with bacta toss and 1k is with bacta spray

No you cant solo it. The damage you do will be healed too quickly by the Katarns regen. You will not win!!

You will also run out of mind and eventually die. The Katarn's attacks do dizzy, blind and stun all in one hit, you're doomed if you try it alone. He is CL 87, thats significant.

Well I went to play on myWS so did not get to him yet. I will try though. Being able to reduce attack speed and apply DOTs (DOTs basicly counter any health regen) helps a lot. We will see.

Your modified dps is 700? What are the stats on the pups you are using?

I am also a master tk, master pike, master brawler, and have around +15 or something UA speed on my clothes, and my modified dps is 584, after a 5% dmg increase from slice, which I thought was damn good. My modified speed is 1.08.

Please clue me in
