Thread: Solo'd 3 Ancient Krayts, Got the You Do Not Have Permission To Access This Corpse Message

I'm wondering if this is a bug or something of that nature. Every time I soloan ancient I get that goofy message and can't loot him. Pretty aggrivating. Is there a time limit on a fight or something of that nature? It does take me a few minutes to actually kill the things, I'm wondering if perhaps that's why it won't let me lootthem. I'm just confused as to why I can't loot even though I'm the only entity to have inflicted damage upon the NPC.Has this ever happened to anyone else?

If you got xp for the kill you get loot rights. So if you had recieved xp for killing the krayt and that message pops up try looting it again. If you recieved xp your SOL.

It's just a bug that sometimes happens when you kill stuff. Works for me if I try it a second time.

99% of the time, its becuase some local 'creatures' were aiding you in combat with the krayt. When your carting him around the map, try to avoid NPC creatures, or they'll take your kill.................

No, this happened to us down in the unsori's cave last night. None of us could loot them until we got to the named one. Thank goodness it worked that time.

I attacked an entire squadron of stormtroopers the other day and I got that message on one of the corpses. No other input other than it's happened to me too.

It seems to count initial attacks. Meaning someone or something probably took it on earlier, and the mob/critter/person got in more damage than you but still ended up dead. It then regens the health, you take it on, win, and get jack.
Not that you'd have probably gotten jack anyhow considering what extrodinary lengths are necessary to get most things of any value loot-wise. *shrug*

That's not nescesarilly true. I pull krayts to squads of stormies or rebel bases all the time and I almost always get loot rights.

was someone else helping you kill the mob? if so then they probably outdamaged you, the loot does not go the the first person that attacks , it goes to whomever did the most damage

no the reason for this is because before you killed the ancient another group prolly came by and got its health down to like 10% then died.....then when you came you did not out do the person

What he said. I've had it happen, I've walked into an area and wiped out everything and we'd get that message on each corpse. upon MoB respawn the problem went away.

Happened to me while driving across Yavin the other night. When through a spawn of Black Suns and some chased me pretty far. I hopped off the bike and killed them and couldn't loot any of them. Was able to loot their 2 pals back at the original spawn point though and then 3 more spawned. I had been wondering if it was because they were too far from the spawn point.
