a few things weaponsmiths need to realize first of all.....


1.jedi dont buy weapons they make their own.seen any jedi lately?


2.quest rewards are better and more interesting than a (standard) crafted weapon....my adk is on my spec ops bola carb which i got from kashyyyk and i use proton carbs to bh marks(also a loot)


3.there are thousands of weaponsmiths and 5 good ones. just because you took the time to grind out ws doesnt mean people are gonna come running to your shop especially if your wares are garbage


4.when i buy a weapon, i use the galaxie wide search and pick out the best one for the money and go buy it. if your weapon has less than cap or is 1 dps lower than the next guys im not gonna buy yours. period.


5.the smuggler fiasco.. people arent buying crates of t21's and slicing them 'til they get that 33% damage slice anymore but thats not the fault of adk's. slicing is not easy now since all the components are looted and the results are capped...which brings us to number 6.......


6.caps. the stats are capped and cannot be made any better.therefore a bad or new weaponsmith can make roughly the same weapon as the best weaponsmith.


a solution? there needs to be some way of achieving better stats on crafted weapons that is not game breaking. nerfing adk's is not the answer as there are way more items adk's ingame than just crafted weapons and this is just a case of greed. one of the best ws's on gorath (davinci) knew that the limit for the amount of credits you can have on one toon is 1 billion. i propose new weapons that are over and above the caps for temporary use.ie make them un-adk able and only able to be crafted by a ws that completes a quest of some sort.for instance..........eky goes on a magical quest to say kashyyk or musstafar and gains a temporary schematic for a un capped weapon of some sort. eky makes the weapon with all his bestresources and looted items making the damage and speed on each weaponappropriate to the resources he used(ie no cap) the item has a bit of code in it which makes it un adk able and therefore would eventually destroy itself. this would solve more than one problem and it would again make it interesting to fight a mcarb/mbh who wants to kill me as well as give weaponsmiths a reason to live.

ADK's serve a purpose, and a good one at that, I don't think they should be nerfed because one or two WS are not getting return customers..

dont know if you weapons smiths notice but this affects armorsmiths as well. not to mention the business from tailors that dont get repeats often due to 0 condition clothing still being equipable.

In the matter of the clothes and armor, i go through grinding armor and clothing all the time and buy more, doesnt bother me. I am currently gathering some high dollar CA's for my jedi garb, if not for the ca's in em i could care less about adk'n em, if they made it possible to remove the ca's when the item destroyed, hell, im all for them not being able to be adk'd. As far as weapons go, their should be some limit to what an adk does for it. They have done nothing for the weaponsmith, armorsmith, architect, tailor, etc.. professions at all really, what makes you think they care if we can actually sell our weapons, cause if some BH has his pistol , carb., and rifle adk'd , he wont buy anymore from us, grinding or not.

good smiths don't have problem selling because of adks, just the bad ones

Stop whining...I'm a architect and the devs have been sticking it to us with No Decay...People buy harvs and never have to buy again...

so really...stop crying about ADK's...alot more issues then ADK's, Pearls...

Wow, you sound like a bitter WS or AS to me. I know not all of them want it nerfed , but most do to an extent. As far as my posts go, I'll comment however i damn well feel like. Sure not all my posts are positive, but , as a paying customer since the launch of this game, I have a different perspective than the people who just joined this game. I've seen all the ups and downs, nerfs, and utter chaos caused by whines of certain professions. Need I remind you that it was the WS profession that got the proposed 10% resource buff nerfed down to 2%.


As for spamming all the boards, guess you didn't do to well in math at school. I posted this twice. Once on the jedi board and once here. LOL. There are what, 50+ forum boards?

Your other points are valid, but really not important to the argument. It is this one here that creates the biggest issue. The looted weapons are better than the crafted weapons. If you slap the ADK on those looted weapons they don't decay and leave the environment. You don't need to buy repair kits for it and you don't need weapons to replace it. Therefore, amazing weapons better than what crafters can make (due to no fault of their own) stay in the economy and the WS are screwed.


A lot of people are saying the cry for nerf is out of greed, but it is out of a desire to be able to play the game as a viable profession. I can't even begin to imagine how crafter's and entertainers feel as every aspect of their professions get phased out of the game.

IMO and again this is only my opinion, if i have to pay 15mil for a really good weapon that will get used alot and will decay at a high rate the last thing i want is for that thing to stop working, if every time my weapon decays i have to pay an astranomical amount for a deceant weapon i wont have any money left to buy other stuff id like to get. That being said i have all my armor and weapon adk'd and i still buy armor and weapons for decoration and grinding perposes, though i might make up a small minority of player's that do still buy stuff though they may not need to, There are only a few adk's out there and not every one can afford to buy one let alont adk a whole suite of armor. so weapon smith's and armor smith's will still sell their ware's.


As for architechts tailors droid engineers ,cheffs etc. I decorate alot and buy a tond of stuff alot of which i just end up deleting cause i either change my mind or buy to much im a bh so i buy lots of doids i buy food cause it helps and i perchase bulk set's of guild uniforms from a trusted tailor. So i still spend plenty money on crafter's even though i have a full suite of adk'd armor and an adk'd weapon.... but that's just me.

1, true. so let it go.


2, false. you can hardly find a quest weapon of capped SAC or speed or damage. a good weapon smith uses good enhancing components can make such uber weapons easily. well, i use quest weapons to decorate the walls of my home or lab. they are purely decorations and nothing more.


3, true. but i believe there are more than 5 good weaponsmiths in intrepid.


4, true. this is a market economy nevertheless.


5, slice is really easy and popular, for imake all my top works sliced before i put them on vendors.


6, true and false. there are capped limits of weapons indeed. but to cap a weapon isimpossible unless you have the right copmonents. and even the right components cannot assure you a perfect crafting which will cap the weapon.



ADK's price keeps on going up means the demand is surpassing the supply. so i am not worrying about the ADK's problem for people can hardly buy one. and, yes,my uber works are keeping on being sold.
