Was going to post this as a reply, but I figured the info is pretty damn important unless this little publish today fixes the issue.
As a couple of people posted crafting the agitator motor or any of the recyclers seems to be bugged. You throw the resources and components into the schematic and when you assemble you get "Internal server error: no owner for player." When that happens the assemble button becomes disabled and your only option is to stop crafting and lose the schematic and all components. I lost two agitator motor schematics and components to this.
I was probably one of the first people to get hit with this. I logged on right after the publish that broke them and tried to make my last agitator and recycler to complete the set. So when I submitted my ticket to CSR I got a response suggesting it was an assembly failure... I haven't heard a word since, but apparently other people have.
All that said, yesterday I tried one more time hoping it was a temporary thing that would have cleared up after the next server reboot. The bug is still there, BUT I got past it and did finish my last recycler!
When I hit assemble the regular error came up and the assemble button became disabled. After thinking about it for a second I remembered crafting macros and tried something. I took the end of my crafting macro and ran it on its own. The part that takes you from assembly to a finished product (or not in practice mode) in one step. This WORKED! The session ended and my tool started counting down from 200. That's way longer than it should be, but the end result is the same. A shiny new agitator motor. When I did the same thing with my flora recycler the countdown was only 1 second. I guess the "cooking" time is random when this happens.
It's extremely important that when you get the error you do NOT close the crafting session or hit back. Instead run a macro like this:
/nextcraftingstage;
/nextcraftingstage;
/createprototype;
/nextcraftingstage;
/stopcraftingsession;
I took this from a crafting macro I dug up on the forums since I'm out of game right now. It's also important that the macro you use is NOT crafting in practice mode. Give it a shot and post to let others know. It worked twice for me and the wife and I now have a full set of recyclers.

Thanks for sharing this. I was getting ready to make some agitator motors when I heard about this. Thank God I read the posts about this problem before I went in the game. Nicely done.

Well done, I'm glad you didn't say to just hit enter instead. It is beyond retarded that people have to find workarounds to game features that were working but were broken by new programming. It's kinda funny, when you find workarounds to combat limitations you are exploiting, when you find workarounds to other issues it's called survival.
It's cool you found a solution but I lost the schematic and compenents I was using and really have no interest in going about trying to find them again.

read this too late
lost a agitator motor, & completed tumbler trying to make the ore one
Oh and the 8 pulverizers, 2 red wire, 1 cheap battery, not to mention what it took to make the tumbler (make before the new patch)
Assembly failure my A$$

There *is* a difference, exploiting allows you to achive something /unintended/ - like say you could drag the red wiring out the schematic and reuse it in the other slot. That would be an exploit. A workaround is to achive something *intended* that is presently broken.
It just gets hazier in combat issues as the devs wont necessarily explain how things are intended to work.

well, i tried this and didnt get anything
the system said "All uses for temporary schematic (Agitator Motor) have been expired" 10 times in a row. followed by "The temporary schematic for creation of Agitator Motor has been revoked" 10 times, followed be "The crafting session has ended" 10 times.
and i have no agitator motor in my inventory, nor any parts or nothing...just ate another motor...at least it wasnt a tumble blender or final recycler build

remember to file tickets with the CSR's for all cases involving these losses and /bug it and file a report in the bug thread please. The CSR's will replace these items (please ask politely) and help them by telling them when/where/how u originally obtained the lost items in your ticket.
Cheers,

This happened to me while assembling a Metal Recycler. I did ask (very nicely heh) and the CSRs reimbursed by schematic and the 4 Heating Elements it took me a week to collect. This is apparently a longtime issue that's cropped back up (a forum search for "no owner for player" will show that this was an issue for DEs after a patch sometime in mid 2003). Thanks for the info on the workaround.

after reading the original post...i tried it out and here's my experience...
my attempt was making an agitator motor schematic....
went to the ingredient add in...plugged all the stuff in ...hit assemble...then got hit with the error msg....
backed out of the error msg to the crafting screen....
did /nextC a couple of times.... (screeen didnt change. assemble option was greyed out at this point i beleive)
at this point i forgot the steps presented by the original poster and sorta panicked a bit since the screen wasnt changing....
did /createprototype ... screen still didnt change...
i possibly flipped back and forth for a bit spamming /nextC and /createprototype......but i was still stuck at the same crafting screen....
eventually i backed out of the crafting all the way.....buuuuut my tool was counting down like it had something in it (there was some other error msg like something was in the hopper or something)... i dont recall how long it was supposed to take originally but it had a looog timer (when i first noticed it..it was like 160 seconds....longest i've seen for anything.....)
timer was done...and out popped my agitator motor!

Wetried this method last night (before the mysteriously under-documentedcrit fail hotfix) and it acted as if it worked, yet nothing popped out in the end.
Any verification if this 'hotfix' actually fixed anything related to this issue?

which CSR refunded you the parts.... i didn't get jack when either me or a friend filled a ticket about the issue.. i lost an agitator motor and my friend lost a whole metal recycler.

Man this is a terrible bug. Im quite shocked to not hear anything from the devs about this, i cant imagine it would be hard to fix. But then again maybe i dont fully understand the code involved. At the very least they should make a post saying something like... "There is a problem with assembling recyclers and there components and we are looking into it, please dont attempt to make any at this time". Something, anything.
