I'm a Jedi and was playing around with the cube and ended up making a Mustafar Painting Schematic #3 and its NON TRADABLE and requires Master Architect???? What is the point of having non trade on a schematic??????? How is this crafter friendly.... first off the cube combos are just pure luck and when you actually get something you can't trade it WHAT'S THE POINT DEVS?????
Can this be changed DEVS??????
Crest Cloudwalker
its a way to get peeps to buy the expansion
This is how I understand the devs thinking on the Cube and non-trade schems. Just a theory:
The quest to GET the cube is non-combat, so anyone...including a lvl 1 crafter can get it. Can only get glowy items through killing things. Combat folks kill things and learn combo recipes of the cube by experimenting, thus realizing they cannot make schem items or trade them. So, they go back out and get the items they used to make those schems and then go find the necessary crafter, give the crafter the glowies, and have the crafter make the schem and then the item for the combat person. In essence, the devs' attempt to maintain a purpose for crafters in-game since the crafters have been screwed by loot out-preforming crafted items since RotW.
But however in my opinion tradeable limited schematics would be better.
The cube combinations are listed on a post in the game guides forum so you cant really make a mistake unless its a new combo but this painting one has been listed for quite a few days. Yes all this No Trade stuff is a load of crap I agree and all the quest npcs campers and lockout timers are retarted too its just something we have to deal with unfortunatly.
unfortunatly, in the very same chat, the devs also stated that the Cube would remain untradable, as well as any schematics that the cube produces, but most other cube end-products would be changed from untradable in Beta to tradable on Live.

After the beta the Devs said on the forums and in the live chat the no trade option would be taken off all items except for specific ones you get from missions... like Obi-Wan's crystal etc. because they wanted people to have to do the quest to have the item. The cube however is not one of these missions and based on its randomness nothing that comes out of the cube should be non tradable.

Again, just a theory. But a sound one.

Right from the chat log care to explain DEVS???
I understand the actual cube is non tradable and that's fine cause it's easy to get for anyone, but how does the items it produced fit into the "special high end quest rewards" category?
keep reading the chat log. eventually during that same chat they also state that the Schematics produced by the cube will also not be tradable.
