I was reading about the AT-ST... tried to understand some technical stuff about them but some how people just kept goingon about if the are good or bad for the game.

I have plans of getting one so my questions are:

1. I need a certain amount of imperial fraction points to get one. Then I go to a recruiter who will give me one.. right?

2. Does the AT-ST work just like a pet or a speeder?

3. Do I use the AT-ST like a pet or a speeder?

4. Is there anything else I need to do except killing rebels and gain fraction points to use the AT-ST?

plz just answer the questions and leave the disscusion if ther are good or bad outside. A few of us just want answers. Not a debate.

Answering your questions regarding the AT-ST, this is if you are a human: ( if your not human the points will be high)

-AT-ST 9450 imperial faction points, But cant buy unless you have 9650. Must have 200 more points to buy anything..as a human.

-Before you can even get the 9650 points you have to be a certain rank to be able to store 9650 points. I believe the rank is sergeant. So as you get missions from the imp terminal, keep checking back with the recruiter as far as getting the next rank. Once you get seargeant you can stop and start working on your 9650 points. I think it takes like an additonal 5k points to get sergeant, but I can't be sure.

- AT-ST works just like a pet, but can not be named.

-health is 55k, damage is 850-1250 ,, resists have dropped a bit, but can still kick ass on everyone, except commandoes.

-Be Warned about commandoes with a flame thrower, you will have to be overt to call out the at-st, but any rebel commando can flame dot yourat-st an it will die , YES DIE, unless you get it to water. I lost 1 at-st to a Lovely commando by the name of joanna that thinks at-sts should be nerfed, just be careful where you bring it out.

-Now I have another at-st, but I rarely bring it out in cities. So many rebel kids running around with a flame thrower they are just dieing to flame your at-st. SoI suggest only bringing it out when you know the commandoes are dead or not there.

Hope this helps you out a bit, I wish I had someone tell me about commandoes flame thrower dot beforeI brought it out around them. They gave me the incentive to become one myself . Anyway, Good Luck.

Flame 4 Commando now

, pistol 4 BH but respecing to a more defensive template

and the rest is a surprise for the rebel scum in the future!

1. Yes

2. Works like pets.

3. Can only be used in PvP since last patch.

4. That's pretty much it.

Hrm but don't faction pets regen damage slowly when stored in the data pad just like normal pets? How does it work? Can say a stormtrooper also be permanently killed by commandos?

Yes the at st slowly builds its health back when stored in your data pad but if totally destroyed when out I believe thats it.....
Was interested in point 3 in a previous post.....can only be used in pvp? Not sure that is correct but it can only be used on opposing factions and not on any other enemy. So, you can use it on your missions from the imp terminal if you so wish.....I think.

answer #1: yes, if you are human you will spend 9650 faction to get one. You must go Overt and then tellthe recruiter you would like some personnel support. If you are not human, the price in FP goes up quite a bit.

answer #2: The AT-ST will act as a pet which is stored in your datapad. you can "teach" it how you give orders and everything.

answer #3: If you mean "can I ride in an AT-ST" no. it acts as a combative "pet" which you command.

answer #4: nope, maybe go up in rank as mentioned earlier so you can hold enough faction to purchase one, but otherwise just go kill lots and lots and lots of rebel NPC's to buy one. You WILL have to be overt to pull it out and use it however.

In addition, you brand new AT-ST will only attack overt rebel players and NPC's. If you tell it to guard you, it may occassionally help you out with aggressive NPC's or creatures that are not faction aligned. Don't count on that as a defense however, it's sketchy at best. When it receives DAMAGE you can store it in your datapad and it will eventually regenerate. When it receives WOUNDS they are not fixable in any way, shape, or form. Wounds are permanent.

Good luck to you if you get one, just be careful when and where you use it. There's plenty of rebel's out there that learned the flamethrower just so they could hurt this machine.

oh, and one other thing, once it is killed, that's it game over. Time to save up for another one. Like all faction pets, AT-ST's suffer from permadeath.

I thank you all for your answers. I can't belive that it can only be used agains rebel NPCs.. what use do I have for it then? I meen... the whole idea I though was to have it as a helper when hunting stuff for the imperial. Some missions involving pets are imperial employers.

I thought wounds didn't heal on atst's either. I know the health regenerates in the data pad but if its wounded it cant heal those wounds. If the wounds heal, I'm going to get me one. If not its not worth it since the 20,000 rebels that have flame throwers.
