Thread: Petition to Remove High-End Loot from STATIC Spawns
- No more AFK loot bots.
- No more camping the one NPC who drops something.
- No more cornering the market anitem.
- Making it so people actually venture out to different places.
The goal of this is NOT:
- Giving everyone more stuff, the expected drops per day per item should not change.
- Making it easier for "lower level" people to get "higher level" items. The difficulty of things that drop stuff will be the same.

So they killed one NPC and got something crappy , it happens all the time. Good loot is a BONUS to your adventuring , not a right.

This was not a comment to support a particular view, only to state a fact. As long as you get crappy loot from uber mobs that spawn countryside you will probably go where the spawns are set. Thats all.

Punished how? By actually having to go out and look for a fight? Will non-static spawns make you deal less damage?

I don't see how you can think playing the game AFK (except where the design of the game forces it to be needed for the world to function, i.e. dancers and doctors, which will hopefully be fixed with the CU) is acceptable for any length of time.

There already are many many other places where you can fightthings that will drop nice loot and they don't all have 350k HAM (although those are more fun ).
Granted spawn rates are not always that great , but apprently the devs are "working" on this and there's always missions that can give up great loot.
I'll just put a few examples in here....
Nightsisters , Singing Mountain Clan , Blacksun , Endor marauders , Krayts , Corvette , Deathwatch , Nyms , Mercs , Tuskens , Janta , Force Sensitive NPCs, Sith NPCs etc. etc.
If 99% of high-end loot was dropped by dynamic spawns, that 1% would still be a problem.

Including, but not exclusively. Excactly as stated above, anything that is static should not drop high-end loot. I don't like AFK campers of anything, but AFK camping anything of value (more than enough meatlumps to go around)is far worse.

Never been to one, don't have any interest in going to one. The GCW is the place for me (I've been waiting 2 years for it to beput back inthe game... Finally!) My complaint is purely economic and in the interest of game balance.

The AFK camper would still exist, and I have a problem with that. My guild will be toobusy having funkilling Imperials to waste time with your lair bosses.
