Im a novice dragonslayer. I can solo any krayt now in less then 20 minutes which is pretty good for my expectations. But ancients are just not within my realm right now. I was wondering if anyone out there who does solo these things can give me some tips, and i know your out there.
My template is master brawler and swords, 4442 fencer, 4000tka, force speed/acc/melee and 2000 medic. but i usually got 2800 buffs out there and have all sorts of foods but usually dont use em, sometimes brandy if not mind buffed.
Do i need a revision to template? or just some strategy. I tried soloing an ancient and almost instantly got all the bad states on me, taking decent damage and they have 95% to boot.
Any help guys? Its my goal to take one down completely solo one day.

mdoc/mswords you can heal the intimidate and dizzy and whatever, but mostly for the intimidates...

With the math on 95% resists and heavy armor I don't think anyone but a rifleman or a jedi can even do enough damage over a set of buffs to kill one. Factor in that they can't tank one, and I don't think it's possible.

Why would you want to solo one? In a rush to waste your 15 a month?

OH I SEE ! This isn't a post describing a method to solo an Ancient, it's a post REQUESTING help on how to solo one.
You had me fooled see, with the title "HOW TO SOLO AN ANCIENT". I probably would have called this thread "HOW CAN I SOLO AN ANCIENT ?" with a question mark see.. but I bet you get a lot more people reading the post with your title. I guess that was yourplan.

Evidently one Jedi and his tagalong tank/intimBot have figured out how to tank them without any trouble:
Saw him and his tank fighting an Ancient alone...
Never having fought an Ancient myself, knowing FULL well I had no chance in hell of winning loot rights, I decided to "help" to see what I'd be up against.
Now, you'd THINK an Ancient Krayt, one of the top three hardest mobs to defeat in the game, would hit for more than 90-100 points of damage BEFORE armor reduction (yes, BEFORE)...or perhaps the Mr. Jedi who I was helping has figured out a handy way to stack intimidations, since his tankbot was spitting them out faster than a tourettes sufferer on a caffeine high.

Drag him on to a Nova Trooper or two and have them tank for you. Worked for a buddy and I who took one out the other day (both rifleman)

commando flame tree, tk 4304, master brawler, and pharm tree of medic. 90 percent boots chest gloves and helm with anti decay kits on them. 1300 damage flamer. takes forever. i mention the decay kits because one fight ate through almost an entire chest piece before them.

Jedi can solo them.
Other than that, very difficult as one person already pointed out the hardest thing about Ancients is the fact they spam stun/intimidate....both reduce your damage output. Only way you are going to solo one without being a Jedi is to have doc to heal those states or you will never do any damage to it.
First day of the krayt boom my friends and I went out to kill Krayt. We started on an Ancient. Well another krayt spawned on top of me and I was insta killed (jedi have no armor). While I was gone for 10 mins to get rebuffedmy friends (one swordsman one TKM) didn't even do 1k damage to its health (and it wasn't even attacking them lol). There is no way you can solo one without healing at least the intimidate.

Because you can say you did. Part of the lure of this game to me is challenges. Its cool to say that yes, I soloed an Ancient Canyon Krayt. Its not something I'd do everyday lol, but why not do it at least once?

I agree that you can solo an ancient by yourself the problem is time wise, I bet that even with an 800 max dmg PH and a speed capped swordsman or my guildmate with a 1500 max dmg LVA you would stillhave to devote 25 to 30 min to it. However if you manage to get a rifleman or2 to help you it you can take it down pretty quickly. I was with 1 swordsman, a TKA, myself a master BE/rifleman 
, and another rifleman that is also a CM. I do have to say with a pattented CM trick he had we had that ancient krayt downed in nearly 10 min or so. Our weapons were pretty good but those poisons helped out alot. However if you can get enough rifleman and swordsman to help out along with a TKA or 2 their stats will decay around 150k to 200k I believe which will increase the process.

hello,
only way i see that you can do it is if your tkm, combat medic....tk's tank real well.(need some dizzy defense)..and let the poison/disease do the damage..thats the only way i can see anyone soloing a krayt ancient....since the resists are way high..you probably could technically with melee..but..would take waaaay too long..more than i would want to do it....the way i do it is i have a tanker..a tkm/0040pistoleer...and i sit by the side 30m out..with my flamethrower..can get the tic up to 6k...multiple throwers...very efficient..can take an ancient down in 12-15minutes..i would try to stick as many dots as you can...Ceasar
