Thread: If you could choose ONE thing to be in the next patch...
What would it be? You can choose some sort of new content, an exploit or bug fix, whatever.
For me: fixing the no-mind exploit.

Obviously afros on wookiees, lekkus on zabraks and that pesky exploit.
But... since that's already getting fixed, I get a freebie...
Character creation missing abilities (eye shape/angle thingy and baldness). Yes, I realize that's two things, and yes, I realize that these aren't big ticket items, but it's a bit frustrating that we're not quite fully-functional in our base abilities.
So yeah, simply on principle, I would fix the broken stuff before even thinking about introducing new features. But that's just my personal set of priorities. Really, I've only had one occasion when I've wanted to change someone's eye shape, so it's not like I lie awake at night tossing and turning devastated that I can't tweak eye shape.
I now have a mental picture of NJ in bed, trying to sleep, but she can't stop focusing on the fact that she eye shape doesn't actually change eye shape and she can't REALLY change eye shape at all. LOLOL
If anyone does that, don't feel bad. I couldn't sleep the other night because I had found out that day we had challenged another guild to a guild war. LOL How sad am I. I think about this game way too much.
I tend to agree with you though, NJ. Fix the bad stuff, then add more good stuff.
Eye shape and angle shouldn't be able to be changed. "Hey look, now I'm asian, now I'm not... now I'm asian, now I'm not..." That's a little ridiculous.
As for hair, I made a female character and was horribly dissapointed not to find the male long "animé" ponytail as a selection for them, even with master ID. That hair is so feminine. There's a lot of hairs that look like they belong on the other gender. There's a male zabrak hair that aught to be a female option too.
For the record, I had someone use the exploit to see what my character would look like with that male hair, and I really liked it. Well, except for the fact that it wasn't programmed for that and there was this big gap between my hairline and my hair where you could look right through my head. I'd really rather have the hair legit anyway, and also have it fit my head. =(
Either one of the below
1. 55 color palette for hair color (from the tailor palette) ,,or
2. Tatoos for every race,,
I don't care either way about the incredibly minor exploits of people changing their hair. Honestly, too big a deal of it has been made already.
I'd like to see a way for Image Designers to change people from Overt to Covert, and to eliminate that ability from recruiters ("You give so-and-so a new identity"). It would take certain resources (possibly fromSmugglers and/or Bio-Engineers)and the success rate would depend on the level of the image designer. Rebels could not give new identities to Imperials, and vice versa. Dying and then cloning would not eliminate an overt designation (you'd still have been identified by the Imperials, or the Rebels, why would dying change that?).
I'm also in favor of everyone (not just the Jedi) having a visibility meter. You run too many rebel missions in too short a time, your visibility goes up, you become a target on Imperial mission terminals - unless you find an Image Designer to successfully give you a new identity. Give the Galactic Civil War some teeth.
In fact, I think I'll post this on some other board and see what sort of reaction I get.
I would SO like them to fix the hair color bug. You know the one when you change thier hairstyle and it defaults to brown on your end (and everyone elses')?
That's my pick too.
If anybody got the ability to make someone from Overt to Covert, it should be a Squad Leader, not an ID.
If I had my druthers, to make any one change in the next patch, it would be to prevent "Master Image Designer" from showing up on anybody's holocron. We had a great, tight-knit community of friendly people before we began to be invaded by the I-want-all-the-exploits-NOW people. I could care less about the bug fixes or the added features or about banning the exploiters; I want my community back.

I think *every* profession objects to holocrons. They're ruining our community. Holocroners piss off the "real" professionals. Decent crafters are quitting to pursue holocrons - holocron crafters don't have the materials to do nice things, or they flood the market before quitting (yes, my business is super when there are 3000 credit fleshwraps on the bazaar). And we just can't afford to have good, dedicated crafters quit, particularly since enough of them have dropped crafting skills because of harassment.
Things will eventually settle down, they have to. People are in this hyperactive frenzy, but once they realize that being a jedi is hard, a few permadeaths later, they may give up.
I'm not fond of the system now, not because it's necessarily a bad system, but because it brings out the worst in the powergamers. Ideally, the system would encourage people to develop new skills that they would not consider trying, which would be sort of fun. But that's not really happening.
So on a totally unrelated note to ID changes, if I could have one thing in the next patch, it would be to change the method of becoming a jedi and not give any clues on how to do it. Granted that would be unfair to people grinding now based on a holocron, but it might restore a little order to the game.
I don't want to hijack this thread, but I am curious why a squad leader should get the ability to change someone's status from overt to covert.
Going the opposite direction makes a certain amount of sense, I'll agree, but what can a squad leader do to make someone less visible to the other side?
