This is dissapointing. Granted, I'm at a complete loss for what could be added. Any ideas?

Seems like it would be a good place to put the wild hair colors.

I don't think anything should go into Master Entertainer that is not also in the Image Designer line. I also do not feel Master Entertainers should have to do any Image Design to get it. There is absolutely no relation I cansee between dancing and playing instruments (both of which I do) and image designing.I was very disappointed when they took dances, songs, and instruments from Dancer and Musician to boost the extremely low Master Entertainer numbers. The box needs its own unique thing, perhaps a /bandflourish or /danceflourish that allows everyone to get experience, and other synchronization things along that line.

As a parallel example, master artisan has some components that some professions need, such as thegizmo that goes into architects' torches, but they don't have schematics specific to any particular artisan class. They don't get exclusive rights on any type of gun or armor or clothing or building schematic. The moving of certaingoodies into Master Entertainer was the direct result of the devs looking at the low numbers of people doing Master Entertainer, and then taking things away from other classes to force them to take it up. I'm very sorry youhave had to take up Master Entertainer to pick up all the things rightfully belonging in your profession'stree...but taking something out of Image Design as well would hurt an already needy profession.

Now if you are thinking of having something a Novice Image Designer can do ALSO be in the Master Entertainer tree, that is another story. But I have yet to see the relation between doing hair and performing What is in need of new image design skills is Master Image Designer. With Age (which hardly anyone can see), Head size (which noone has ever asked me for), Torso (I've been asked for this twice), and Skin color (now this we get good use of with the non-human/zabraks), the box is badly lacking in substance.

For the record, I am biased in this by not having enough skill points to have Master Entertainer. Know however that I would feel the same way even if I did have it. In my opinion, if the devs want to have a Master Entertainer box they need to flesh it out with something unique that doesn't take from other professions, but supports its related professions. AND now that it has taken things from dancer and musician I think it should only require that dancer and musician boxes be filled to get, not image design which has no relevance other than they obviously didn't know where to put it

I actually like this idea, just because I'm a Master Musician/Entertainer/Image Designer. The only reason I picked up Entertainer is because I wanted to play the Mandovial and Ceremonial. So, it would only go to reason that if Master Entertainer gives Dancers and Musicians extra perks that no other dancer or musicians have, then they should also give Image Designers something extra too!

I'm going to have to agree with Kwee on this one, we get so little unique and new things (only hair) with image designing as it is, making us learn how to play an instrument to dye hair really would not make any sense. The four basic ID abilities gained in the entertainer tree is reasonable because a good entertainer would have some knowledge of makeup and basic hair. I agree with what Kwee said, it would be nice if they gave entertainers a special ability all unto themselves, like her flourish idea, rather than taking things from the other trees. I think it would be much more rewarding for the master entertainers as well.

Well... erm. Making an Image Designer also take Master Entertainer would be sort of a waste. It means we'd have to have high Mind for IDing, and high Action for entertaining. The stat needs are sort of conflicting and the combination of skill trees is really a marriage of convenience, not common sense.

Maybe they could take IDing out of Entertainer entirely and replace it with Rhythm. I'm sure a lot of the guys would like taking a fun, non-femmy entertainer skill. Rhythm can accompany music and dance, so it'd be a fun crossover.

I actually think the artisans have it worse. Several of the artisan classes, just to be able to use all their own schematics, must either take master artisan or buy made items. (Actually some are worse still requiring things made from one elite profession for another) They don't even get everything that is in their own skill tree.

In pretty much every profession there is something at master level that extends every single branch of the base profession, giving them something you wouldn't have otherwise. You can heal a little better, use improved combat techniques, make new things, heal better. Look at brawler for example. If you want to do one handed lunge 2, you have to learn unarmed, two handed and polearm. The only exception is entertainer, which has no representation of two of it's branches. I still think adding wild hair colors here would be a Good Thing as things stand now. Master ID could still get the other stuff they might add, like body piercings, non zebrak tatoos, etc.

Now as to weather ID belong in entertainer at all, thats a whole nother can of worms.

It would be a sad thing if they were ever to take something from the poor ignored Image Designer profession. We have a great group of people on this forum who have been unbelievably patient about waiting for fixes to the profession, are always helping non ID'ers that come here with questions, and have rarely indulged in wishful thinking for new content. There was a horrible outcry in beta when the mandiovial, ceremonial song, and some dances were plucked in order to be given to Master Entertainer, only to boost the numbers of a profession box that did nothing. They didn't listen to the dancers and musicians then, they would certainly not even hear what image designers thought on the matter. I am all for one or two ID things being in both novice ID AND master entertainer, but only because I feel sorry for those that had to take master entertainer. I don't think ID has anything to do with entertaining.

Sure, I agree master artisans have some experimentation points and components that artisan professions need or covet. However, they do not have their own specialized products. If you want master entertainers to be able to craft dyes that image designers would need in order to dye hair, that would be a fair comparison. Being able to do the end product, INSTEAD of a Novice/Master Image Designer would be cruel. Akin to (but much worse than) a Master Entertainer having a stringed instrument, but not a Master Musician... Of course crafting dyes has nothing to do with entertaining. And in fact I can think of no component or ID boost that would fit with dancing or playing an instrument at all.

Y'know, I never said anything about taking something from Image Designers and putting it in the ME box. I asked for ideas as to what could be added. I think there's a misunderstanding here.

I actually initially suggested that master artisans be able to make our dyes since the poor things have so little they can make, but a few people pointed out that musicians make their own instruments

And I would be all for Master Entertainer getting something Novice Image Designer also gets (despite thinking the two professions are unrelated). I just thought Tiaga was suggesting that Master Entertainers get unnatural hair colors, and not Image Designers.

I was actually. I may not agree with image design being under entertainer.. But as long as it is there it might as well get some representation from master . It's not "taking away" from anything, because it's something image design never had.

If not that, then what should master entertainer get for image design? That is, after all, the point of this thread. It shouldn't be completely ignored by it like it is now..

Well, I don't agree that master entertainers should get unnatural hair colors. That should definately belong to image designers, since we get so few unique abilities. From what I understand master entertainers already get two unique abilities, whereas, the only non-character creation thing we get are hairstyles. Like Kwee suggested, something that the Novice IDs get would be fine. Maybe one hairstyle or something...hmm, I can't even thing of anything else that would go along with the skill level of the ID tree that entertainers get. All of the other things fall into the specific categories, and it wouldn't make any sense for an entertainer to get them out of the blue. Maybe the craftable eyeshadow or something similiar?

Keep in mind, as it is, image designers get the customizations available at character creation, and aside from some silly bugs (baldness, eye shape, ect) we get them all at one point, so most of that makes no sense for entertainers. I personally think that master entertainers should get their own thing, rather than taking away from other classes, it doesn't seem fair to them or the other classes the way it is set up.
