Thread: Master Entertainer does nothing for Image Design?

Personally, I think that if anyone were to be making dyes and such it should be the Bio-Engineers, our scientists.

Loreal wouldn't ask a model to create a haircolor. =)

Oh I should add.. This is coming from someone who had to give up master entertainer to get the skill points to get master ID. So it's not like I'm saying this because I'd get it either way.

Tiaga, by taking away I think they're saying Master Ent shouldn't get it INSTEAD of Master ID's. Yeah nobody has it now, we all know that.

Not all Master ID's have Master Ent, I certainly don't. I've never so much as held an instrument in my life! Why should Master Ent get anything related to my profession?

Because your profession is under entertainer. By the same argument why should they get anything related to music, or dance?

SW1 on the slitherhorn and Basic I are hardly a good comparison to unnatural hair colors

That was very tongue in cheek btw I'm actually very fond of SW1 and Rythmic I has some great moves However you cannot really compare what should be an elite skill if added to starter skills in one of the six basic professions.

Hell no!!! I don't like it when they hide items in other professions. For example, master dancers should have ALL the dances, that's why they're masters. Master architects should have all the skills to completely build everything that they build without having to be a master Artisans for a few components. Hiding 2 dances in master entertainer is just downright cheap & sleazy. I don't want them to do the same to Image design. If they're going to do this kinda stuff they need to make master entertainer mandatory before you can move on instead of making it seem like we have everything when we don't. They're cheating us out of skill points, & this would only help them do it more.

Y'know, I never said anything about taking something from Image Designers and putting it in the ME box. I asked for ideas as to what could be added. I think there's a misunderstanding here.

But that would be the same thing. Adding ID skills that Master ID's can't have is just plain wrong, the same way it currently is for Dancers & Musicians. We should be trying to do it the other way around instead.

One of the 4 trees of entertainer should have something of value that could extend to master entertainers & nobody else, such as juggling or comedy or magic shows or the like; something that makes entertainer stand out as it's own job, with the master level amplifying the skills not furthered in the other entertainer profesions.

I have to say I think one should definitely get some kind of ID bonus for becoming a master entertainer. If a dancer wants to be an ME, they still have to study music and ID. As a reward for that, they get whatever that special ME dance is. I think it's only fair that there also be some reward for image designers who do the work to become an ME. It doesn't have to be some super-elite ID ability. Maybe just some new hairstyles or something. But there should be something there.

That's like saying "You screwed all the dancers, musicians, & all the crafters, so we wanna be screwed too!"

Simple solution, take the Image Design tree out of the requirement to be a Master Entertainer. The only reason you can come up with for having an ID skill exclusively in ME is "well we're forced to go up the tree"? Do you realize that in your hypothesized situation, Image Designers would have to get THREE trees that have nothing to do with their profession to get to ME? At least a dancer or musician might benefit from gettingeach other's skills, and they have to get ent healing anyway. IDis just all on its own, very silly to have it be a requirement for ME imo.

That's a great idea. I don't think the ID tree should be related to entertainment. However, since it is still something you have to be an entertainer to do, I think Master Entertainer should reflect that.

LOL, you guys just don't get it. No master profession should contain skills of any other profession unless the first master profession is required tostart theadditional ones. If master entertainer was required before you could even start novice dancer, novice musician, or novice image designer, then we wouldn't have anything to bitch about.

But to tell us we don't need master entertainer to be master dancer/musician & then not be able to do all the dances or play all the instruments/songs is very very wrong! And now you want to encourage SOE to keep up that practice by doing it to professions they haven't screwed yet? Let's not resort to that. There are better ways to fix this.
