Thread: Final info about the mini publish now that TH let the cat out of the bag :)
All I can say is... well... I'll let you know when I find out what I want to say.
Stat migration. Hey, I can live with that. Makes the tents that much more useful, but now I REALLY want them to be PC placeable. /shrug
WOW! Gets all excited and jumps around out of control with joy…..
We get stat migration, time cut for ID’ing AND finally terminals in tents with pink swirly things to draw attention to our dieing profession. WOO HOOO.
So excited I cant contain myself.

I'm sorry that I have to do this.. but... /corre hat off
The fact that such sweeping changes (i.e. stat migration and new ID xp progression) were made without warning or community input is unacceptable.
The stat migration does not just affect image designers, but affects the entire playerbase. It came without warning, and they will see it as a nerf. I do not blame them. To make something that was free for everyone now suddenly restricted to searching out an image designer deserved some opportunity for feedback. There was none. Polling this community for feedback on issues of what we wanted did not take into account the feelings of the rest of the playerbase on a change that would affect everyone, and "change the rules" of game mechanics.
As for the image design xp system. I understand that we needed to slow down the experience, and the community did want a new system implemented, but again, I feel as if the community was "blindsided" by this change. With this change my concern is not the substance of the change but the lack of communication.

Stat Migration - ID's will be the only way for stat migration to happen, and it will be possible only in a tent. Silly me, I'venever thoughtto ask if it will be instant, we should know soon.

I am glad that we are getting what we wanted out of the colors and the interface. But to seentially do a total revamp of our profession's advancement andfunctionalitywithout so much as a peep in an "in development" thread is extremely troubling.
I agree 100%. This is a change that affects every single player. What BS ![]()
Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention that is is absolutley disgusting that these stupid particle effects (skull, etc.) are being put in instead of Hair accessories, glitter, etc. I might not have ever used the original additions personallybut these particle affects are downright stupid for SWG and if I was an ID I would be mad as hell.

I see what you posted, are you absolutely sure IDs will be the only way to stat migrate?
TH said:
Stat Migration: Image Designers now have the sole ability to migrate player stats faster than the previous default migration rates. The process will take 10 minutes and requires the Image Modification Booth located inside the ID tents. This functionality has been revoked from the general player base and now requires an Image Designer.
He first says only IDs can migrate stats faster, as if players can still do it the slow way without an ID.
But the last sentence is a little confusing, it makes it sound like regular players can no longer so fast stat migration, which we never could? But it could also mean stat migration can only be done with an ID.
I am kind of shocked that this suggestion is actually coming from *me*, but is there a chance that maybe publish 8.1 and 8.2 can be switched? It sounds like they are just putting the finishing touches on the Deathwatch bunker, but we could probably use an extra week or so to test our stuff out. It might also help with the glut of image designers that is bound to happen on the publish day.
Initially I thought the stat stuff was good, but have to say now I don't think so.
The emote stuff is dreadfull, or would appear so ( reserve judgement till I test it ).
Extra colours etc. YAHOOOO!!!
But the shiny bits I thought we where promissed seem to be missing ( highly bad let down there SOE ). Me thinks you need to sit down and have a LONG hard think then decide on the following :-
1) Relook at the crafting stuff.
2) Give ID's what we where promissed/asked for. If we need a terminal for some stuff, fine, but let is have a player buildable one for our studios.
3) Throw the stat stuff in the bin.

Just to reiterate...I'm actively passing on feedback from you guys to the devs and will continue to do so as needed over the next weeks. I know some of you are annoyed that I'm being such a "cheerleader" (and if you think I'm talking about your particular comment, don't, because I've heard it three or four times already today), but you know what, I"m just being myself, and if you knew me before I was a corr you know it's true. I'm the eternal optimist and annoyingly persistent about my constructive criticism soapbox. Our community NEVER kicked and screamed and we still managed to get ourselves a revamp, as well as compliments from many about our community over the past months. As Charina (Darkagent) said this is not the time to roll over and play dead, we need to work our butts off this week testing all this stuff and providing good feedback.
This is not the end of the game. Test Center is where things change and improve and are fixed. I'm your representative, I go to bat for you guys more often than you know, and I need your support. A gazillion things changed in the past three months that I've been working with the devs, and nothing is set in stone at this point.
I believe in you and know you are working hard to represent us! I plan to log on and drive to Theed as soon as testcenter finishes loading. I just hope that May 11th is not one of those things set in stone! I know that they don't want to go back on their announcements, but unless all of our bugs are really trivial, I can't see them getting fixed in that little time!
