I'm going to try to post on a positive note here, but I'm still pretty angry, so bear with me:

To those that are asking for our "promised" glitter/particles/etc (myself included) please keep in mind that we were never promised anything. We were offered a behind the scenes look at what was being toyed with in development, and I think that's a wonderful thing even if the end result is that we don't get what we saw. The risk we run in assuming these items were promises is exactly the reason they don't give us these sneak peeks more often. So please, I beg you, don't pested about the "promises"—in truth there were none.

That said, we've got bigger fish to fry that hair glitter. We need to understand what went on behind the scenes to get things to the point that they are now, and we need to figure out a way to get the damage mitigated. Why were the original ideas for particles scrapped? It sounds from TH's post that the new holo-emotes are a test-bed for future technolgies—that's all well and good, but (a) why weren't we told of this sooner and (b) why are we forced to lose a feature we did want for one we're none to fond of at best? Why was stat migration placed solely in our hands despite the community clearly stating we didn't want this? Why was the delay method of XP slow-down chosen over any of the other proposed methods (such as entertainer-esque diminishing returns on XP)?

There are still so many questions that need to be answered and so little time in which to have them answered. Once again I'm aghast at the state of communications.

I agree. I didn't want to be the only voice on the subjects of tents and stat migration and exp changes. Just remember nothing is set in stone. There are unlikely to be dramatic changes at this point, but things can be tweaked and feedback will be weighed.

And that's a huge problem. We're talking about changes to systems that affect every single player in the game—and ones that have a possibility to make play unbearable for IDs. I'm very, very concerned that we weren't given any chance to discuss this stat change before it went to test, and even more so because we did discuss migration as a possible critical function and quite clearly stated in no uncertain terms that we DID NOT want to be the sole method. So what happened? How did this slip by them? Why are we going to be stuck with this for an indeterminate period of time?

This is not the end of the game. Test Center is where things change and improve and are fixed. I'm your representative, I go to bat for you guys more often than you know, and I need your support. A gazillion things changed in the past three months that I've been working with the devs, and nothing is set in stone at this point.

Go Kwee go! We're still going to be fun no matter what! I'm sure you'll get us all thetweaking we can here!

(The cheering calms me as an MID... and Kwee knows the Devs react best to persistent but perky, we're in the best Correspondent hands we could be... don't run, stay here and get that feedback for our Kiwi Corr!)

In case TH doesn't get back to this thread, let me briefly touch on the function of the tents (which we'll be able to play with on Test Center later today):

Stat Migration - ID's will be the only way for stat migration to happen, and it will be possible only in a tent. Silly me, I'venever thoughtto ask if it will be instant, we should know soon.

I'll dispense more detail later today (prob tonight)after I've had time to test some.

dont like that one bit. Im not an ID but Im also really looking forward to the revamp. Try out all the diffrent things to make my character look neat. But this, this, i do not like.

I really don't know what to say, I'm not as much a part of this community as I am of the tailor boards, but it seems to me like this is just like the lootable schematics situation. I can't give it up, but I am seriously starting to consider whether 15 bucks a month is worth my time

Well I think everyone needs to calm down lol. (Myself included) This might be a good thing and we won't know anything until people that have chars. on TC can let us know what's really going on with everything. I do think we are going to see a ton of people grinding out ID so that they can do this themselves but you know what that's part of it. Just make sure that you are more pleasant than them and you tell your clients that you are there for the new changes. Hopefully the devs won't just stop here and will continue to add things for us iders to improve our profession. I won't be giving this up because even though we might not all be happy with what we are getting it's well worth it to make someone be beautiful lol.

This is my first time in your forum and all I can say is Wow! and I thought the BH forum got too riled up sometimes.

When I read about the stat migration I kinda figured the IDs would be please, another source of income, like the lines in front of the MD in the star ports for buffing, but if not, then what you should perhaps do is just all agree to not do it. Don't migrate anyones stats, for any price, once it goes live. It wont be very long after that that they'll give it back to the individuals to do.

I also think the holo-emotes are kinda silly, but hey, I'm a MBH, whadya expect. I will look forward to seeing them when I'm getting my battle fatigue healed however.

Hope you gals, and guys, enjoy all the other changes.

He first says only IDs can migrate stats faster, as if players can still do it the slow way without an ID.

But the last sentence is a little confusing, it makes it sound like regular players can no longer so fast stat migration, which we never could? But it could also mean stat migration can only be done with an ID.

All characters are given the opportunity once, to migrate stats immediately. This occurs after the character is created and loaded into the game, but before the player selects the planet and city he wants to start in.

So, maybe we've mis-read TH's statement?

If it makes you feel any better, it looks like old-fashioned stat migration still works. There are lots of bugs with the new system and I sort of doubt it will be ready by May 11th, but it looks like we only provide fast stat migration (if I can figure out how to do it before I get bugged again).

I had a guildy check it out and yes, traditional stat migration does seem to work, thankfully

I'm not particulary fond of the idea of being bound to the tent...i much more like hanging out in my PA... so unless the customer finds a way to get the tent to me i doubt i'll actually bother travelling up and down to theed all the time for a stat migrate...

Unless maybe for triple the fee...
