I've been victim of a hologrinder spamming he'll do statmigration for free in coronet salon, on Kauri. I remarked he was ruining my business, the imersion, and the game economics.
he told me he didnt care cause he had only 6 weeks left to grind to Jedi.


CALLING ALL MASTER IMAGE DESIGNERS !


If you ever face this kind of person do what i'll do from now on: Spam free statmigration, plus free master design, plus free 16 holoemotes until the hologrinder goes away.


If we can block even only one from unlocking we will have done MUCH for the game. We have 6 weeks of war infront of us, Courage !

Tell him about the 14 day trial acct cheese and how he can get optimal ID xp that way without having to depend on others needing image design.

i totally agree with you on the jedi unlocking. SOE made sure no roleplayer will ever get to play one under current conditions. just go to the jedi profession forum for a laugh... and a cry

Sincerely i cant imagine a more peaceful solution than the one i propose here. Every other plan i made included my ryyk blade, lemon juice and at least a few rusty nails...

Obviously I cannot tell you how to play your game, and you may act as you wish within the rules of the game. However, it is never justified to purposely disrupt another's gameplay, even if that person (or that group of people) has been a jerk in the past. To do so is to be no better than those who have harassed us in the past.

i'm not one to take justice in my own hands. but as of yet, i never crossed the path of a csr, my reports all been fruitless, and i still wait for SOE to admit hologrind is a terrible plague.

so there's no turning the other cheek.

Actually, I believe SOE has admitted that the hologrind was a terrible thing ... and are changing the path to stop it.

On many occasions I've been in the Coronet Salon and put people on ignore whom are spamming--only to find them getting other people later on to ask me for training since I seem to be not responding. Hm.. I wonder why!

I tend to direct people who need stat migrations to other IDs that aren't masters. I don't need the xp nor do I wish to waste time when I could be doing actual ID work.

The faster that guy reaches master, the faster he'll be out of there. /shrug Ignore and move on, I say.

The pricing rambles are frustrating but *shrug*.

Post Publish 10 won't be too bad, will just have to deal with folks [both ID and elsewise] who believe that it's "just 10 minutes and you click some buttons."

Got slightly annoyed today when someone was rambling about my pricing.

*shrug* Charging half of what I'd get grinding money missions on Dantooine [where I actually was before coming to the salon...] hardly seems unfair to me, especially when the missions are more reliable and consistant funds.

Most folks are reasonable, just a couple put a dour in my mood .

*sigh* This is exactly the kind of situation, that I have seen coming... and the reason why I really dispise this whole profession-grinding-idea to unlock the jedi-stuff.

*sigh again* the only time, I ever had to report someone to the CSR was a similar situation: a rude idiot grinding his way to become a jedi...

really: this whole grinding stuff only leads to the situation, that those get to the jedi-stuff, that actually not really deserve it (my opinion and not meant to insult any jedi out there).

At the moment those are jedi, that grind the brains out of their heads, not playing the game, but pretty much ruining it. They might start with the most noble ideas and end up as mindless and soulless grinding-drones, that don't know playing anymore... so all that is left for them is now grinding through the jedi-stuff.

Well, it's just something I had to say, and not fully on topic. Now what can we do about those folks?
In the situation I have experienced the grinder in question was pretty much doing the same. He spammed free service, even offered to pay for someone to grind on for an hour or more.

When the rest of us (one Master ID and two others non-master IDs including me, plus a master doc buffing in front of the tent (btw: we had absolute no trouble with her about that)) asked him to atleast stop his spamming he started to insult the MID about stealing his xp and stuff like this. It happend several weeks ago, so no 2k xp per stat migration back then. In the end this gringer got reported like 5 times by different players and left the tent since I asked him to simply seek out another ID-tent so we all could play in peace.

Well, the problem is now: this won't be working anymore since the grinders will be much more desperate and won't leave the lucrative Theed or Cnet tents. Beside trying to find a compromise for all iders in the tent, which will not allways work, I don't see any good solution. Declaring a war to those grinders will only make the situation worse, if you ask me, since it will only cause grief for all.

I really hope you will find a more peacefull solution on Kauri and any other server where such a situation arises and it most probably will arise on most servers in the near future. *sigh*
