A quickie poll for you guys:

a) Droid module that does the same thing as the terminal (but can go anywhere)?

or

b) Terminal that you can put down in a private building?

I have no sekrit info, just want to see which would get more votes.

Assume

No tent timer bonuses

No global registration

One of the upsides to the terminal proposal was that something in the future it could be perhaps tied into global registration. I don't think that could be done with a droid, or practical if it could be done. I would have to go with terminal.

Edit: Because spelling is tough sometimes...

Second Edit: I have two concerns with droid modules. The first is balance. That is for the Devs to decide. The second is that we will find ourselves up agains the same problem the Doctors do, and that is that the med centers are empty.

Well I'm not crazy about the "current" looks of the terminals so I have to go with droid, But I feel they COULD do some really cool stuff with the terminal that would make me prefer it. (Hot-tub, steam-room, particle room, etc.)

Unless we also get something we can sell on a vendor, I vote for droid module since I'm never home.

Assume global registration would only happen through a player city tent.

I can't say "both," huh? I'd go for the terminal for the same reason Bri mentioned—global registration. (Although really, I want both—just no migrations at the droid, that would be even worse in terms of balance than the current system.)

Edit: I see that the original post was editted a minute after I posted this…so assuming no registration and no timer bonus…what the hell is the point? Stat migrations? Eff that. If we're assuming no registration and no timer bonus I vote "Neither, they're both a waste of dev time and my cash."

Home? You mean where I keep all the fancy clothes for my ID and where I only go occassionally to change? Err.. no room for a terminal there..

Droid module would be the option of choice as a result.

If there's no timer bonus... what would it be for? To allow us to do Stat Changes wherever? Oh Joy! This is something I've been dying to do!

If that's the only reason why we'd actually have the droids/terminals, I vote terminals. That way I could say, 'I'm sorry, I can only do Stat Changes in certain cities, and homes with terminals.' If it were droids, I fear that people would think it was suspicious that I didn't have a droid while I'm a Master ID. /shrug
