I'm sorry, I've never ranted before but I need to vent after what I have seen today. I'm tired of incorrect information that is posted this far into the non-Beta life of this game. I was reading today's Friday Feature about stats and stat migration, and came across this:
Once you are with an Image Designer you must group with them and the process takes about 10 minutes. You tell them what you would like your stats to be, ...
Now, I was an ID when the changes went into effect and dropped it due to not being able to Master it in my lifetime. I don't recall the ID ever having any control over what the customer's stats where, that was the customer's job and if they didn't change it themselves, it was a waste of time.
Why is totally wrong info posted about this game, when its been out of Beta for so long and the system in question has been in game for quite some time??? Do they want to confuse the player base? LOL

You tell them what you would like your stats to be, ...so the Image designer can in return say "ummmmmm..all I do is click the button..." /giggle. I noticed that too.

When they put 40 units of horn into the Hunting Armor for Wookiees? That was my proof that they never played their own game. It made me so very sad.

Yes, and the next line does say this.
(Note: Tipping whether they ask or not is a good practice and know that some will have a required fee, if you do not like the fee just find someone that will barter with you).
I think that's quite fair.

I was kind of disapointed by this Friday-feature, too... The text there is extremely outdated and needs to be corrected big time! whoever is repsonsible for this Friday-feature might be overworked like hell, but that's really no excuse to post such outdated stuff.
But I'm sure our most honorable and beloved Kwee will get it straight
May the Force be with you all!

"...it is not always required but it is a nice courtesy to tip the Image Designer using the option in the image design interface."
I say come to me and try to feed me that line and i'l shove you the courtesy of my backhand... Why not put down the fact that in 9 out of 10 the ID will require pay... I may look gay but i do not take it up the ass because of that...
Ok maybe overreacting but i don't need my customers any more incentiv to be rude and obstinat(sp)...
Anyhow i to like the line about how we set their stats... Dunno how many times i have explaned to new players that i can not see their stats nor do i know what stats ar needed for X to wear full composit... =) But i guess it is part of the charm... Now i'l get on with my life... Im just edgy because i'm forced to use a internet cafe for all my internet needs.

Oh that's just ridiculous, you want work done, you pay for it, all it takes is a bit of common sense and a capitalist's frame of mind. We're not altruists, we make our living this way.

Bartering is for the weak and poor. Perfect example. I have no money, but I'll give you these magic beans for that cow. I suppose If they can have that as a friday feature they can put, "If you disagree with the prices charged by an armoursmith go find some-one else who will barter with you."Let's see the outcry then.

No, I'm not thinking evil thoughts; These are happy ones.

Well, it could have been worse. It could have said: "If you disagree with the prices charged by an Image Designer, shout obscenities at him for the next hour."

Still waiting to hear word on this. I did comment on the "may require a tip" and "bartering" bits too.

As I posted in another thread, I don't personally mind the barter bit so much, if people would offer things I was actually interested in.
'Here, take my shiny new swoop, I need a stat migrate!'
I know I'd say yes.
But I'd expect the swoop up front.
