Thread: WIll image designers be able to change a characters race now?

I heard that the CU would allow id's to chnage a characters race...is this true?

That wasn't a jibe against Techno, that was simply a sarcastic reference to the fact that even though he HAS dispelled these rumors, people are continuing to make threads asking this question over and over.

The developers made the comment that this will never be an option in SWG. You can only choose your race at the character creation screen.

To conclude this again:
I asked the devs about this rumor, that apperantly originated from an article on the GameSpy-website. They told me, that this article is not correct and that neither the CU-respec nor we IDs will get the ability to change someones species and that there are no plans to give us this ability in the future either.
I personally welcome this descission allthough I can understand that there are probably quite a few players who picked a species on character creation, but are not happy with this decission now for whatever reason. The only way to change your species is to reroll your character and start from scratch I fear.

1. COMBAT UPGRADE - We're not combat. Rumor has it that entertainers will see a revamp sometime in the future.
2. Migrations were dropped on us and most of us did not want them. We thought it was a STUPID thing to give to IDs. We hated them and wanted them gone.
3. LucasArts said NO race changes ever, no gender changes ever. This subject has be done to death through a number of threads.
4. They don't OWE us anything for a supposed loss of income. If you're a decent ID, you'll continue to make money.
