One of my toons isa Master ID. She is now and will always remain one, basically because I enjoy the profession. I have heard from a lot of Master Doctors post CU that are fit to be tied that buffs are leaving, destroying one of theirmain sources of income; much like an ID's ability to stat migrate. I guess the question people should be asking themselves is this: Are you playing a particular set of skills for the sake of the game, or to bankroll creds? Making money in the game is fun and often times necessary, but IMO I wouldn't let it dictate what type of prof you choose.

I personally welcome this descission allthough I can understand that there are probably quite a few players who picked a species on character creation, but are not happy with this decission now for whatever reason.
Like a Rodian Image Designer gal who no-one trusts to do an ID. So superficial

I fully agree that one should not play a certain role in the game PURELY to get credits, but I also think it is important to remember that in SWG, we don't have classes or archetypes. We have professions.
For all players, but especially for those who only have one account, our skillsets should (in an ideal world) combine the ability to make money with that fun factor we Entertainers chase after so readily.
I do reject the idea that ANY addition to a skillset is a GOOD addition (cases in point: Stat Migrations for ID's, CM's setting people on fire), but in a game with a player-driven economy and much of the greatest treasures available only to combat types, money is key to many players' enjoyment.
Hopefully, the devs can come up with new additions that combine the IDer's search for fun with the IDee's search for something to spend their credits on.

It would be cool if you could change your race, they need to add more to Image Designing personally because its almost pointless to have the profession.

Pointless? I don't think so.
I have nearly 4 million credits, most of which I have gotten by doing artistic changes to people. If I'd never spent any credits, I'd likely have another 3 million. I'd say perhaps 1 million of that could be through stat migrations, but after a very short while, I absolutely refused to do them for anyone but guildmates and townies.
People who got into ID to cash in on stat migrations seem to be the ones that are griping about this the most. If you have ANY talent and can communicate with your customers to determine their needs, then you can still make decent money as an ID. If you are a no-talent hack, whose only viable skill was to press the accept button on the stat migration, then you won't.
If you feel that the profession is 'pointless', then I heartily suggest that you find something you find is more worth doing.

You are 100% correct, once again. For everyone that b1tches about this profession, I want to say "GO AWAY". We'll actually, I just want to say "Piss off" but that's not as friendly.
