Got an idea ! Got an idea !

Let'sadd a "Massage" function to Image designers ?

i can imagine3 types of massage to be performed on clients:

- relaxing massage (wound healing)

- energizing massage (short buff)

- purifying massage (shorten poison and disease, eliminate spice and doctor buffs from organism)

the game mechanics (see TK meditation) are all here, just add a little tick box in the interface.

What do you think ?

interesting idea but I think that it would be stepping on the toes of the other professions, especially the relaxing and energizing massages, plus I don't see where massage would really fit into Image Design, last time I checked hairdressers, plastic surgeons and tatoo artists weren't masseuses (at least not professionally )

Once again the reality check argument. Well if image designer covers 3 professions, why not4 ?

As for stepping on toes, i partialy agree but consider :

- the wound healing would be slow, ad the buff very limited.

-i carefully avoided adding Battle Fatigue to the Relaxing Massage effect.

I was using the names of 3 of our lines because of the namesties to real life since there are no "Image designers" in real life. To put it in more basic terms, I don't see why a profession designed to make people look better (stat migration and it's loose-at-best ties to ID asside) should be buffing or healing, small amout or not. That's not what we do, that's what medics/doctors and dancers/musicians are for, and giving us such ability will further deviate ID from what it is supposed to be, not to mention upset the professions we would be stepping on. as Kameckobe said if you want to heal and buff, be a doctor, if you want to change the way characters look, be an ID. If you want both, pick up both professions and roleplay to your heart's content.

Guess you have been effectively shutdown before you opened your doors Neige. Well, I for one liked the idea. An all around salon/SPA owner. Perhaps massuese could fit better in a different profession but I still like the social aspect of the idea.

Even so, you left out the most important kind of massage.

(Come on, this thread needed something to lighten it up)

Yet another good reason why Doctors should do massages and not Image Designers

Or maybe a good reason to require us to get "checked out" once a week to renew our massage licenses? o.O

Honestly no. As a Dancer and Image Designer I don't need yet another way for little boys and childishmen to alude to my being a sex toy for their enjoyment.
