I ask 20k for stat migrations, on Valcyn. I get the random shocked player who thinks that is too expensive, and even the occasional immature brat who laughs and runs off while tossing out some childish insult.
The prices on Lightstrider are pretty good. I haven't been there in a while, so I can't remember exactly what they are, but my price list is (more or less) based on a 1k-per-minute (outside the tent) for the service they want.
In the end, it depends on the server too. Ask a couple of local IDs what they charge.

Okay, since I can't figure out how to edit a post on this god awful forum system... sorry for the double post.
Having just checked out the Lightstrider Image Design site again, my jaw dropped at the prices.
Being on Valcyn (a very lightly populated server) those prices just would not tend to work well, based on my experience and current price list.
Although, another question to ask yourself is - how many credits can you make if you weren't sitting in the tent doing this? On a *really* good day (honestly, sitting around all day) I might make 120k doing ID work (asking 20k for migrations). In an hour, you can make 360k running Janta missions on Dantooine. Depending on how you look at it, that can be reason to move your prices higher or lower.

I am on Bloodfin and I charge 10k for migrations and do the rest by tips (unless the customer is rude or annoying then I charge for all work done)
How much I make a night depends on what other activities the server has going on that evening. One night I made 600k in 4 hours... another night I made 100k in 4 hours.

On Lowca, I've charged 30k for stat migrations since they began and Idoall other work strictly by tip. I've had a few people complain about the price but most are just happy to receive the service and say to go ahead. My girl - Kitrina - is a master ID and I do IDit becauseI love IDing. I don't need xp and i don't enjoy stat migrating particularly, so this price works for me.
If people tell me so-and-so does it for much cheaper, I just shrug and tell them that they should talk to so-and-so then because my price is 30k. I wont miss the money and they can save themselves some cash in the process, maybe help someone who needs the xp in the process, to boot. But, honestly, in the several months since stat migration was instituted I've really only had maybe a dozen people complain about the price.
Of course, your situation may differ and teh economies on each server are quite different. Cash flows fast and freely on Lowca. Perhaps not so much so on your server.

On Farstar, for ID services I just ask for tips.
To support the Empire and Imperial troops, I give free stat migrations.
Although, even once I tell them its free, most give very generous tips.
As I am in a non-combat profession, this is how I serve the cause.
To unguilded people, just tips. For Rebel based guilds, 10K.
If you are rude, no matter what faction, no stat migration at all.

On bloodfin, i charge between 10-15k for stat.... ten if i am sitting around the tent, 15 to the rude ppl who want me to travel to the far ends of the galaxy, travel expensives.... 98% of the time, i charge 10k.
for all other id, i do tip as they feel the work is, which usually brings me in anywhere from 1K to 100k a job. (i have some generous customers!) I have been a Master ID forever so I have a pretty good base of regular customers who know i try hard to make them happy.
aLL IN ALL, PRICING KINDA DEPENDS ON THE GALAXY YOUR ON, BEST ADVICE IS TALK TO OTHER id'S THERE AND ASK AROUND!
sry about the caps there... but at the moment, to lazy to fix them,...

No one follows the price list. I gave up playing with my Image Designer player because you can only make money on non-peak hours where you're the only ID in a city. If there's just 1 or 2 Novice ID's, they will charge 3k for a stat migration. I keep telling them they can charge more, but they just don't care, they feel that they should not charge a lot because it would make them look cheap.
Grrr....

I tell people to tip what they feel is fair. However I do take note when a person in full composite tips 1k or less wich is sadly becoming a trend

I've started doing something new:
My normal price for a stat migration is 10k and I just ask whatever they think any other ID work I do for them is worth... BUT...
If they spend at least 9 minutes actively going through what I can do and choose a new look, I will now throw in a stat migration free.

I charge 20k for a star migration and free ID and holo emotes while we are in there for 10 minutes.
If people just want an ID, I tell them that i only accept tips based on what they think I deserve and they can afford.
It works out to my best interest and I have gotten tips from 1k - 2 million.
When you are friendly, and do a good job, and pay attention to your customers, people are generous when thay have the credits.
