Thread: Bug/exploits/wishes List for Rilawyn: Please Keep this up top!
Lets help Rilawyn squash our bugs/exploits and grant our wishes! Please list any here and do not repeat any that are already listed. I will update and organize the list periodically!
So let's start off shall we?
Bugs:
1.) When changing hair, we designers (and others)see the recipient with brown hair, logging out and in helps us to see the change.
2.) Twilek lekku splits into 4 tails when wearing a helmet with certain lekku "lay" styles
Exploits/Balancing:
1.) XP gains are too fast. There are many more than willing entertainers who will let you practice on them if you dont make changes. Under the right conditions, you can be a Master Image Designer in under 24 hours total playtime.
Wishes:
1.) Image Design uses no resources. Where do we get the dyes from? How do we style hair with out a comb? Many Designers do not want to be a tipped profession, and the use of resources could justify our prices.
2.) 256 color palette for hair, skin and other parts
3.) Tattoos that are non racially limited as well as placeable on other body parts
4.) Body piercings: make the jewelry tailor made but placeable only by ID's. After it is placed by an ID, it can be removed/worn by the customer at that point
5.) Allow fat/muscle to affect face and limbs not just torso
6.) Allow customization to go beyond character creation limits: example, larger nose protrusions, Taller wookiees/humans, broader torso/chest, etc
7.) Gender-switching ability: make men women and vice versa
8.) Color palette instead of slider bar
9.) Names of hairstyles for easier reference
10.) Secure way of showing a customer a image without an accept/refuse button. Far too many people run off with a nice design without paying/tipping
Thats all for now...keep em coming!

I used to believe this at first too. But unless "under the right conditions" means you're insane, a masochist, or receive pure joy out of simply clicking a mouse, I disagree.
At first, it's easy; yes. But there's only so much of this you can take. (And only so much your RL eyes and fingers and wrist can take.)
And let's be fair here about the resource thing. We're not able to charge tens of thousands for IDing like almost any other artisan crafter so I think it works itself out.
Please take no offense, I just don't want everyone to think that we all feel this way because I have to make a stand here and say that it seems almost fair the way it is.
Under the right conditions means: You have at least 2-3 hours a day to ID and you have a partner willing to assist you and click as soon as you accept. I played 2-3 hours just IDing and was a master in under 2 weeks. Something is definitely wrong here.
As for resources, I'm being fair. I make a fortune in image design on Wanderhome because 90% of the ID community on my server follow this price guide
Here is what I charge on Wanderhome and have no difficulties in getting paid for my time:
Basic Image Designs:
ID I: 100 credits
ID II: 200 credits
ID III: 300 credits
ID IV: 400 credits
Elite Designs:
Novice Image Designs: 1000 credits
Hair and Markings:
Intermediate: 2000 credits
Advanced: 3000 credits
Expert: 4000 credits
Master: 5000 credits
Face snd Body:
Intermediate: 2000 credits
Advanced: 3500 credits
Expert: 5000 credits
Master: 6500 credits
Master Image Designs:
Skin Color: 10,000 credits
Torso: 9,000 credits
Age 8,000 credits
Other: 7,000 credits
Complete Face/hair/body overhaul: 100,000 credits
Complete Face/Hair overhaul: 50,000 credits
Complete Body overhaul: 75,000 credits
I don't want this turning into a debate thread, we can do that on a new thread.
I am sure the devs will decide which are good/bad suggestions.

There are already two threads on wish list items ![]()
I hope they do not allow gender or species switching, also I think the exp is just fine. I have only filled in the Hair line in ID and it has been a few weeks since release. I've done some exp grinding with fellow ID'ers, but I don't want to sit until my hand hurts for days ina row until I reach master either, and it's unfair to expect that everyone is doing that or going to do that. I think it's just fine the way it is
In any profession you will have the people that have the huge amounts of playtime and grinding patience to reach master much faster than the majority, and there is not much that can be done to change that. Anyway didn't mean this to sound like a rant, it's really not
Towards the end of beta Holocron posted that Image Designerswho gotto Master (and many of us never got to Master in beta) got there 6 times faster than the time they considered ideal, but it was not to be changed (along with many other professions).
Your other ideas are great, I just hope that you add them to the latest wish list thread, I'm sure Tygress/Rilawyn has taken notes from it ![]()

Please don't take offense to my comments. I just feel as though you are speaking for everyone and I know a couple of players that feel (stronger than I do I might add) they would disagree.
Obviously neither one of us can make the call as to whether or not it is an expoloit. I can only assume that something this simple would not have been overlooked by the developers.
>>>Under the right conditions means: You have at least 2-3 hours a day to ID and you have a partner willing to assist you and click as soon as you accept. I played 2-3 hours just IDing and was a master in under 2 weeks. Something is definitely wrong here.
I don't agree 100%. Maybe it's a bit much. Maybe it was intentional. At any rate, I don't think this is an easy profession (or at least any easier than any other one I've played) nor do I think a majority of players would click a button for 2-3 hours a day for two weeks (again, no offense).
>>>As for resources, I'm being fair. I make a fortune in image design on Wanderhome because 90% of the ID community on my server follow this price guide
You don't think any other master profession makes a fortune? And, forgive me, but do you mind if I make mine before you ask them to change things?
If you were so concerned about these issues, did you bring them up before you made master?
I just wouldn't believe the devs could miss the way we get xp. If we had to get it simply off of customers, it would be impossible and what's worse is I can't recommend something better.
I'm not saying I disagree with you 100%. I don't think the system is perfect, but I do think it's close and I believe they've (the devs) considered this.
(Sorry to sounds like a meany. I just have to take a stand here.)
Unlike anonymous_zero, I am not going to be apologetic or so much as be taken aback that I might be offensive, because I think you are absoloutely off your rocker.
The bugs, yes, I can understand why they need to be fixed. It's a simple problem, no biggie.
But, here is the problem...XP GAINS ARE TOO FAST? ARE YOU SERIOUS? "A good ID can make Master in a few weeks."Well deary, unless you haven't looked around recently, there are a lot of master anythings running around. It took my friend 2 weeks to get master pistoleer, and that's sure a helluva lot harder than it is to get master ID. "Someone with 2-3 hours every day with a friend can make Master ID in 2 weeks." Well, sorry to dissapoint you, but a lot of us DO have lives, and can't sit down and click a mouse button for 2-3 hours a day for two weeks. And what about those of us who don't have friends in game, or ones that aren't on all the time? I don't know about the rest of anyone else, but I get 12 exp everytime I do something to myself at the cost of 50 to 100 mind, and if you do the math, it's just 40,000 to get the first row of everything under Master ID. Yippee skippee! Lemme tell ya, at the rate that I regenerate, and the way that these "XP gains are too fast", I should probably have it in a month or two, and that's WAAAAYYY before ANYONE else. I've got novice ID and I've been playing since launch, so that exp gain must be going at LUDICROUS SPEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!
The recources...no. We don't need recources, and I think the reason why you brought it up is because you RP or something. For the rest of us who just want to chill out and help other people out, we don't want to have to burden ourselves with another skill set just to use the ones we currently have (sorry for speaking for everyone, but this is how I feel).
Tattoos...everyone wants these, and same with body piercings.
Gender switching is an absurd idea. I'm not even going into it why.
(And I'm not sorry to sound meany; I have to take a stand because you're ideas are not well thought out, and your wish list is bunk. I also hope you caught onto the sarcasm intertwined between my accusations)
So for the rest of the ID, you can flame me all you want. I think this thread is proposterous, and I hope 99% of this persons ideas fall through so we're not gimped like every other proffession (Pistoleers, CH, Commandos).
EXP: Perfect the way it is. Consider this, yes we level fast, but what affect do we have on the game aside from astethics? None, we can't hunt more effeciently just because we look good. Exp is fine the way it is. Add more exp requirements only increases the grind until we can do something that's actually useful/ interesting.
Resources: For our normal changes, the stuff from character creation and our extra hair styles, no resources should be needed. If we get unnatural colors, non zabrak tattoos, the ability to change sex (NEVER RACE, please!), or the ability to go beyond the natural limits set at character creation, then I agree that we should be required to crafta dye kit or tattoo inks/needles. I'm also of the opinion that these funky changes fade over time. A day or so for lower level designers, while Masters can have them last for a week or so. Standard changes people can do in character creation should never fade.
Piercings: As long as tailors are crafting our studs and hoops and such, I'm all for it.
Colors: Yes pleeeease give us not only colors, but highlight patterns. The system is allready in place with wookie fur patterns. Allow a pattern to be overlaid onto a human (or zabrak/bothan) hairstyle, with hair color being the major part of the pattern, and a highlight color being the secondary. Of course wookie fur is uniform in shape, whereas our hairstyles are not, so this is probably much more difficult than i Imagine it to be. Also PALATTE not slider. plskthx?!
Race/sex change: I'm very hesitent to back either of these idea. Race should never be changed, there are too many changes to skills and attributes that come about due to racial bonuses. Sex... well I can see your point, but with the way character generation is set up, changing sex resets the characters appearence toa random setting. This should use lots of resources if it's ever added, and be permenent until changed agian.
Covert/Overt status: Seriously, we have players capable of making characters look totally different, why aren't we the ones to change TEF status? Don't want to wait an hour, see an ID. The higher our overall ID skill level, the less changes need to be made to cause the character to become covert agian.
More limits at creation: Right now Twileks, zabraks, wookies and mon calamari get acsess to all of their various marking patterns at creation. Hair styles are limited, why can't these be as well?
Display: Do away with sliders for color and markings, give us palletes to use or a display similar to the hair style window when changing tattoos and such.
That's it for now. Good luck

Sex change is a dopey idea. So is race change before anyone mentions it.
They need to add some weirder colors and hair styles (more choices for all races not humans in particular), tattoos for everyone. Temp faction point removal.
I wouldnt mind if ID'ers could alter NPC or at least have NPC quests to alter someone on the otherside of the planet.
note, i am not an image designer, but a customer so keep that in mind, and also, pardon me for interrupting your serious discussion. with that said...
I WANT BLUE HAIR!
that is all, thank you ![]()

Wish List
1) I would love to see Master Hairstylists / Master image Designers be able to give Zabrak's afull head of hair.
* This is part of the ongoing quest to help make my zabrak character look better * /smile
If you wanted to go around changing the genders of players, I think you should become a Master Doctor first.. No way I would let someone fresh out of beauty school snip and tuck anything THAT important! :/
And yes, you can be a Master Doctor and a Master Image Designer. You'll have enough points, with about 15 or 16 to spare.
Spyder
Oy! Novua, PLEASE don't speak for me. Especially if you're trying to convince the developers to make XP gains in Image Design harder AND cost supplies....
XP GAIN
Dancers earn XP by dancing flourishes. Scouts earn XP by harvesting bodys. Surveyors earn XP by digging for resources. I've got to FIND someone WILLING to let me CHANGE THEIR CHARACTER!
Is this the only class in the game (other than Merchant) that can only get stat gains based on the actions of other characters? Although my in-game and RL buddies are fond of me, and love exploring and shooting things to earn XP, none of them are willing to sit still for me in your "24 hours to Master" Utopia (and where'd you get your endless pool of Mind Energy in this Utopia?), especially when the skill requires some serious cash for training.
RESOURCES
Umm... Pay for services? Uh, what galaxy do you play on and WHERE to you hang out, because I'd love to steal ALL of your customers by undercutting your prices by 50%! My first 2 weeks of my Image Design career were several experiences of "What the heck is Image Design?", followed by a revolted flinch, IMMEDIATELY followed by watching characters run away from me screaming "DON'T TOUCH MY CHARACTER!!!"
I picked up this skill and have yet to generate anything I'd even consider meager pay. Few want the service and most will only offer a pittance in tips (thanks for the 12 credits, five more hairstyles and I can buy a CDEF Blaster!). This career path does NOT have me rolling in funds, but I enjoy it for the art-crafting.... Bad enough I have to run around the wilderness with my SUPER TOUGH HAIRSTYLIST to earn the cash to pay for training, don't make me have to do even more earn/craft/purchase supplies, too!
SUGGESTIONS
Fix the bugs..... People should be able to get their hair color changed simply..... My connection shouldn't crash 25% of the time I use the /imagedesign self command..... Why I can't I makea BALD haircut?..... Yes, we want to be able to make hair colors like electic green or bright pink.... And yes, I'm a guy and I want to change my freckles...
