Someone on the Scylla forums pointed this out after we got in a discussion http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Scylla&message.id=165820about what to charge. I said ID is a luxury, if you do a good job you aren't going to get repeat business, and people drop over 10K on a 3-4 hour Doctor buff like candy. Why? Because they are making all that money to go be able to buff up and go back and make even more money.
We have a legitimate profession, I say enough feeling guilty for charging those of you who do. The next time you think ehhhh this feels like too much to charge, remember this thread's subject line. As far as being the ones to do stat migration - Yay! We finally have something real to do, and if you don't like paying 50K a whack, go pay 15K ten times a day to a doctor to get buffed & quit telling me how useless image design is. People can smell a non-IDed n00b look, and it affects your business. They may not know why you strike them as not knowing what you are doing, but That is what it is.
Power!
Uhm, you dont think yourother abilities are something real to do? If i were an ID (well I was for a couple of days) I would not be so happy about this quick 'fix'. You should have gotten some real new content made for you instead of this IMO. I don't get why the Devs have so much against making ID:ers a semi-crafting profession (cosmetics and stuff that lasts a limited time for example), by doing so i feel the status of the profession would increase. The sad thing is thatthis was probably your last shot atsome new content for a long long time.
New palettes is great, but really, making the rest of the players angry with you by nerfing the stat migration for them, and adding the Holo emotes which most (including me) find horribly immersion breaking was not a smart move.

Please remember that the majority of the Image Designer community just wanted the ability to migrate stats FASTER if anything at all. We didnt want the sole ability to do this.
We wanted colors (which we are getting) and ribbons in our hair (not getting, getting holograms instead). We didnt want to have to be stuck in one of five NPC cities clicking a box so your HAM can get moved around.
This NOOB look as you call it is what I designed myself and am completely happy with it thankyou...
I think ID proff is a worthy one and I would pay well for stat migration if it worked properly..and did what it was supposed to do..but how dare you insult the design I am happy with..pull your head from up your arse and get out there and make the profession famous and you might start coining it in.. armoursmiths who make great cash dont make cash just because they are armoursmiths..they have worked at making it great for them...by getting good at it...do the same..

Most everyone sooner or later will want their stats migrated. Pretty much no one can take on the enraged bull rancor lair. I'll still charge cheap prices or else keep going with tips as I can, so long as I'm not utterly screwed with the payments.

If I get buffed, I can take it.
They're not as hard as you might think.
The only reason people are unwilling to put money into anything ID-related is because they don't view us as a 'real' profession. While I'm not crazy about the idea of us being the ONLY avenue with which you can migrate your stats, maybe it will make people view us with a little more respect.
i personally see no problem with moving the ability to stat migrate over to the IDs - and I am someone who has stat migrated more times than i remember.
all that said, i extend my best wishes to the ID community, even though by the looks of it this publish is probably not what you were hoping for.
