Thread: The only ID macro I have found that works

This is my macro for Image Design, maybe it's old news to some of you but I'm sure someone will find it as usefull as I do. This is not a completely automated macro, you do have to click two times every few minutes.

/image;
/pause 153;
/ui action defaultButton;
/macro ID;

I named my macro ID, thus the (/macro ID) and the pause is set to 153 because I am ID II and changing eye color which has a 2.5 minute timer on it. I threw in an extra 3 secs to adjust for lag.
If you are a novice I recomend you set the pause to 63 secs as the only thing you can change is hair and, it is on a 1 minute timer.

The only thing you have to do is select what you want to modify and the modification itself. (the two clicks I mentioned earlier)

For the Person you are image designing, here is a simple auto accept macro that they can use:

/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 0.25;
/macro (MACRONAMEHERE)

For the mentally challenged:
(macronamehere) = whatever you name this macro.

Hope this is helpfull to someone, enjoy!

That's a good macro, and I use one like it.. it does have a potntial problem, though.

If you're in a tent and run this macro, having nothing selected will cause you to lose the tent bonus.

If you're only Self IDing you should use /image self instead of /image. This will insure that you always get your timer bonus, and don't start trying to Image Design your Swoop.

Or you can add /target self before /image…

This macro is FANTASTIC! I tried it out and couldn't believe how much faster it went when I didn't have to keep switching accounts or fumble for the commit/accept buttons. I just have one thing to add:

I noticed that the first few times I ran the macro, I would get an error telling me that I was already in an Image Design action. So I added a /pause 1; between the last 2 lines and that fixed that. I also added /sit; and /stand; lines as insurance against getting logged out for non-activity.

if the recipient is AFK and challenged to a duel, will the auto macro accept it?

There are punks out there who do that sort of thing...

No, but it will automatically join a group.

I'm fairly macro challenged. Would someone mind putting it all together with self targets, pauses, and getting logged off prevention? Pretty please

There are issues with the macro on the image designer side—I tried it and it kept losing focus on the ID window, making the defaultButton not commit the change, but for thevictim side I ran two macros:

----- Start Macro AcceptOffer -----

/ui action defaultButton;

/pause 0.5;

/macro AcceptOffer

----- End Macro AcceptOffer -----

----- Start Macro AntiIdle -----

/sit;

/pause 600;

/stand;

/macro AntiIdle

----- End Macro AntiIdle -----

I ran both of these on my alt account and only had to worry about keeping my ID account going while grinding. In theory, the following should work for the ID side, but you can't chat while using it as that shifts the focus from the ID window to the chat window, making the defaultbutton go to the wrong place:

----- Start Macro OfferDesign -----

/target [self|victim];

/image;

/pause [63|153];

/ui action defaultButton;

/stand;

/pause 1;

/sit;

/macro OfferDesign

----- End Macro OfferDesign -----

Change the first line to be either /target self or /target Victim'sName depending on if you're self-grinding or have an accepter, and the third line to be either /pause 63 or /pause 153 depending on whether you're doing cosmetic or physical changes.

Was just wondering if anyone has foudn a way to do a completely afk macro...with the timer and low exp gain, going for ID is horrid....sitting here watching a timer for hours on end for very little exp isn't my idea of fun..

It isn't possible to completely AFK macro without breaking the EULA—there's no way to macro the sliders/pickers.

So there's no command to say, set the eye color to a specific value? D'oh...thanks for the info.

I really wish they hadn't taken the /imagedesignSetValue command out of the game. If it was still there, this would have given us a way to completely AFK ID.
