Let us not forget that the goal here isn't to AFK the profession away. That will result in nothing more than it being trivialized like it was before. The goal is to make it fun enough for you to want to sit there at the keyboard and play it through.

"V E E L A" S A I D - Retired Master Smuggler, cancelled 7/27/2005. SOE, think about every non-Jedi "cancelled" signature you've seen, and remember that there will be more as you forget the communities that makes this game's heart and soul. Entertainers, Crafters, Hybrids, Non-Jedi Combats, and Smugglers. When you are closing shop on SWG, remember that you ignored the REAL community to cater to an alpha class that assured this game would never be "balanced."

I don't have an alt account, so I use this one for Self ID changes.

It has the bonus of an audible tone, so I can surf the net while I Id grind:

/sit;
/image self;
/pause 27;
/stand;
/alarmAddin 0 2 Next ID ready!;
/pause 125;
/ui action defaultButton;
/macro ImageSelfDesign;

It isn't possible to completely AFK macro without breaking the EULA—there's no way to macro the sliders/pickers.

I'm a bit confussed here then. It used to be possible to afk picking the eye color by entering a value in the macro so that all you had to do was start the macro and have the person being IDed keep hitting accept. How is it now a violation of the EULA? And will this old code no longer work? I am aware that you now actually have to make a change in order to get xp unlike the old system, but it seems you should be able to afk ID yourself and set your macro to keep alternating between 2 eye colors. I guess I'm just not seeing where afking is a violation of the EULA.... if it is we are about to see a serious decrease in the entertainer population

You misunderstand. AFK macroing itselfis NOT against the EULA. If you can figure out a way to do it entirely with the ingame macro system, it's legal. Dancers/Musicians do it all the time. So do Doctors, and Combat types in Moenia fighting Thugs.

The reason you can't AFK macro Image Designwith the ingame system right now is that the command that used to be used: "/imageDesignSetValue" no longer functions. The Revamp killed it.

Therefore, the only way to AFK macro Image Design at the moment involves third party clicking software, and THAT is against the EULA.

Yea, someone on the Doctor forums here wrote a macro where you set an entry fee on your house and have the person stand on a certain spot or a chair or something and you auto buff them, all afk.

It involved a / command that targeted the object/person/whatever that the cursor was currently on.

Oh, yeah. There's a /ui action that'll do it, but it's still not AFKable since you can't manipulate the ID UI via /-commands anymore.

Ok, just to make it crystal clear, this macro is only for people with two accounts? Or will it help two different people as well? Just curious as I don't see how it would work out.

Must be dense /grin

You need to have two accounts involved to use it—they don't both have to be yours, nor do they have to be running on the same machine. In other words, that's what I did because I have two accounts and a machine that can handle two instances of SWG at once. But as long as the ID macro is running on the ID, and the accept macro is running on the victim, nothing else matters.

The ID has to be ATK, the victim does not.
