its pretty high but i have lots of costomers still

also it matters your player community

i say charge as much as you can and lower it if you need more costomers

the important thing is that you should whatever you do stick to your price list

if you dont people will walk all over you

basicaly if people say to me im not paying thats too much i say ok cya latter then

about half of them come back eventualy

some people view that since image design does nothing for combat it should be free or very very cheap

let em think that they will be a pvp powerhouse with a crappy haircut)

Only just got Master ID, but was also curious as to pricing, i've spoken to some MID who only ask for tips but i was thinking of a clear pricing structure too. Am i ok to also email you on the Wanderhome server? (You've gotta love inter-server mail and chat )

Okay, someone explain to me this whole "Theed Local" thing? I'm also trying to determine a price list, but it's difficult when I've always relied on tips.

It's also going to be rather difficult to insist on payment from folks who don't end up changing anything, once the secure trade for ID's gets implemented. Any suggestions on how we can protect ourselves in those cases?

Theed Image DesignersLocal 421 was a price list that myself and two other Starsider Image Designers came up with a few weeks after launch when we got tired of getting stiffed. An IDfriendof ours who couldnt' make it to the meeting joined us in our little union the next day. Kink, one of the other two, put it up on a website which is still up although she hasn't played SWG in several months Pani posted it on her atomicspacekitty website (giving credit to Theed Local) which is where it gained widespreadedness.

I'm hoping the secure trade will kick in at the end of the session so we can determine at that point how much is owed. We'll have to see if they're able to put that in for us

A good question Fushia, a talented image designer could spend upto say 30 minutes (often more) tweaking the look of someone in that secure window only to have them reject it and run off.

What I suggest doing is explaining to the person beforehand that the fee is for the service as well as our time and that even if they decide not to accept any charges we will charge an amount for the time spent going through designs. If they then do a runner you can I guess /report them for the scam (they understood the charges and broke the contract) or (and I think this is better) start a thread of names who do a runner without paying so that others can hunt them down and take revenge
