Padtai made some interesting points in his post. I have to admit, it is very easy to sit here and feel like we are the only ones in the galaxy who get picked on, but we know it isn't true. I'd have to say that IDs, Medics/Doctors, Dancers, and Musicians all fall under those professions where people expect services no matter what that person might be doing (and even worse, possibly for free). I was a Master Dancer for a long time and dropped it after several months of people telling me they had no reason to pay me for mind buffs, people demanding I drop whatever I was doing and do private dances for them when/where they wanted me, and being treated like a sex object meant only to please the eyes of horny teenaged boys and immature men.
Even people in combat professions have to deal with crap from others. Everyone has complaints about combat classes other than their own because of PvP. Before the CH nerf, people complained about creature handlers and their pets; people complain about DOTs from CMs; TKM was at once both a stylish profession and the profession to pick on; Riflemen are now "too uber". I mean, people are always gonna find something to complain about. If it isn't the price of a stat migration, it will be that they got their butt whooped by someone in a duel.
Honestly, if you don't want to deal with people, become a crafter. I know that when I am sick of dealing with ID customers, the best escape is to go to my player city, sit in my vendor tent, and stock my vendors with pretty clothing. It is rare that people complain about a tailor or chef or weaponsmith. If they think your prices are too high or your selection isn't good enough, they will just go find an other person to get what they want. If people do complain about a crafter, it is a personality thing generally.

Hah! That's what you think. People complain about crafter prices all the time, to the crafter, always claiming to have a friend selling [insert item here] for less, or complaining that they should get [insert item here] free for [insert reason here]. Face it, many (if not most) people in this game are just 'tards, and no matter what profession you are—yes, I've seen people demand that higher level combat characters help them [insert task here]—you're going, at some point, to deal with a 'tard, and venting on your profession forum where people can commiserate is the best medicine. Keep 'em coming!

Bwahahaha…a long time ago I jokingly told a guildmate that I couldn't be of any help to him in making his package bigger, and that maybe he should put his BE skills to good use and do it himself.

I leave that up to my clients.Client: Then how can I wear my FULL SUIT OF UNSLICED COMPOSITE ARMOR?!?!?Me: Well, you could get some buffs--especially since you're at twi'lek .. making it impossible for your stat to allow you to wear a full suit! /growlClient: O.. can u buff me plz?!?!"I want a new hair colour""Okay, what would you like?""I don't know .. just go through them""There's 256 colours""Oh.. can you go through them?""HOW 'BOUT NOOOO"I can't stand all the "can you make me look like" clients. Egads!
When customers ask me to go through all designs or colours I simply reply with:
I'm sorry, but there isn't enough time in the day for me to go through each design and colour for each customer. Please visit this site, deside what you want, and then we can begin. While you are desiding I will assist another customer. http://www.swgimagedesign.com/
I've only had 1 or 2 complaints about this. Most people thank me over and over for the site.
Also, I email the site to each and every customer I come in contact with. In the e-mail I simply say that this site will assist them with future decisions. It lists all design options by species, color options, and pricing information.
My customers love it!
Hope this helps you!

Here's the one i hated the most:
Customer comes in for ID work and I completed the work.
He then proceeds to take his clothes off, lays down on the floor and says
"Hey Jacinta, how's about a massage?"
It was so ridiculousI couldn't stop laughing, but I really wanted to tell him that he was an idiot and should put his clothes back on andget lost.

Haha... you should have said something like "If that was your attempt at impressing me you failed miserably"

You know what I hate to hear?
After begging me for a stat migration (usually when Im in the middle of another stat migration) and spamming the salon, they finally get in line (which is sometimes 2-3 people deep). You finally get to them, and migrate their stats, and then they ask how much. Now, at this point, I know it's my fault for not stating a price up front, but I say my usual "The standard charge for this service is 10k, but I ask people to pay what they can afford." They are silent for a few seconds and then say "I had no idea it was that expensive, I only have 255 credits to my name."
You know, I wouldn't go to a weaponsmith's shop with 255 credits and expect a good gun. I wouldn't go to a doctor and try to pay them 255 credits for a buff. I wouldn't go to an armorsmith and try to pay 255 credits for composite armor.
I can understand if someone didnt know it would cost 10k and couldn't spare that much, that's why I say pay what you can afford...
but I can't understand even going around looking for the service if you have less than 1k credits to your name.
The other thing I hate is 'OMG! I forgot to migrate my mind stats! I still can't wear my composite armor! Remigrate me, please please please please please!'. And this is usually the same guy above who only has 255 credits.
Bah.

I hate when people tip crap while wearing a set of composite and with the Master Commando tag above their heads.
Though it's not so much what they say in that case.

Not true! Mama always said, "Actions speak louder than words." The fact that people are willing to drop ridiculous amounts of money on the BEST armor, the BEST weapons, the BEST bio-engineered food, and the BEST buffs - but balk at 10 - 20k for an Image Designer to change their stats - screams "I don't respect you or your profession." And I just don't have time for them.
