You are not doing itto helpme. You are not doing it for anyone else. You are doing it becauseyou can make a profit and you can get experience for it. If that wasn't the case, why would you put yourself through spending 10 minutes with stubborn insouciants like myself?

Sadly I think many of usARE doing stat migrations out of the kindness of our hearts. We're MID's, we don't need exp and we're not going to stat migrate for free. Stat migration is boring as all heck, when I do it it's just to help out someone that has had a rough time finding an ID. But that doesn't mean I'm going to drop what I'm doing for ten minutes to make chump change. Unless they're genuinely needy

The OPTIMAL Experience for NOVICE Image Designers is found in that tent. MASTER Image Designers do not need XP. Look around a bit and find a Novice ID I am willing to bet unless they are a brazen **edit** you will get a good deal from them. On Kettemoor I DO NOT set any of my prices I simply ask that the person I am doing a session with give what they are able to afford.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I would much, MUCH rather have my 10 minutes than my 20k. I mean... I could either spend 10 minutes staring at my UI, being abused by rude and arrogant people who claim that I'm ripping them off and that I should be banned and that they're going to report me for scamming them... or I could spend 10 minutes in relative peace, and get in three dancer's buffs during that time and make nearly as much money as I would doing the stat migration. Or I could whip up a few revealing fleshwraps or exotic leotards and make three times that much in ten minutes.

Which would YOU choose?

I'm going to stick with my "Enraged Rancor" answer. Sometimes I like to name them after my worse clients…the lairs seem to go by faster that way, I'm not quite sure why.

Are you from the UK? Because, if you have this kind of wit, AND a sexy accent, I think I'd be in love!

Ah, if only. I suppose I could take some voice lessons and put on a fake accent like Madonna did… (and what, a Southeast Pennsylvanian accent isn't sexy?)

Stat-Migration used to be free.... I changed my stats before the publish came live. But what about new players what about the players who run out of money on weapons , armor, buffs, and food and travel cost! All stat migration adds is a new cost! Also have to pay for vechicle repairs, taxes, house, and harvestors. I can't believe this game so many expenses what now u going to charge us to whip our butts?

I remeber when u had to pay for nothing but travel cost and housing!

You remember when you only had to pay for travel and housing? When was this, before armor and weapons existed? And if you run out of money on food, weapons, armor, buffs, and travel costs I have no sympathy for you—if you're at all competent paying for those things is an investment that will net you more cash. If not…then a stat migration isn't going to help you, free or otherwise.

Well, I read about 1/3 of the posts in this thread. I'm completely disgusted with it. Some of these posts, the attitudes in them, the disrespect in them..is why I don't id for the public anymore (only close friends, guilides and myself). IDers do not owe anybody anything, they certainly don't have to work for less than they feel the service is worth. If you don't like it, you don't have to pay. The same goes with if you're going to buy a master made weapon or armor, chef foods and drinks, a house or anything else that makes your life online easier. You need a stat mig like you need a house to store or display things in, you can get by without it until the time you can afford it.

I am seeing less and less IDs around these days, I can certainly understand why. We are supposed to be a social profession, but nobody likes to interact with people who are jerks and who don't respect us or our profession. You don't respect me? I don't respect your "need" for a stat mig.

Like many others i hate the way stat migation was changed.

I made a new toon on a new server and i pickd artisan as my starter proffesion.. Then left him for a while. Only made him to try out the new helper droids. Now i have been playing him agin for a few days, and i have pickd up brawler. A stat migation would really do him alot off good as his stats are something like 700 health 800 action and 900 mind.

I have been 'looking' around the salon on tatoine but have only seen other players look for IDs, but no IDs. So even if i did save up 15K (and i did) i havent found anyone to preform the migation for me. So i got myself a speeder instead.

The only 'real' solution to this problem is: ID's STOP giving ppl statmigations. When askd why not just tell them to submit a trubble ticket stating that IDs nolonger wish this as the only means of migating stats. Hopefully this strike could force the Devs into action.

Else i can only see alot of flaming between ID's and non ID's for some time to come.

If more people gave the profession the respect they give other professions we wouldn't have a problem in my opinion. It's hard to want to do anything for the people who treat you like crap.

I will just toss this bit in.

Tobie has absolutely no combat skills. He goes purely by tips for everything.

I get money by delivery missions. At the very worst I bring in 10k credits in an hour.

My viewpoint here is that if you can save for days for a piece of armor, an extra hour or two in order to afford stat change in 10 minutes is a pittance. In the old system you would have to wait days for your stats to adjust so you wouldn't be able to wear your armor anyway.

ID's charge too much? Maybe. But then look at doctors. Yes they have to spend time and such finding and harvesting resources. For a full round of buffs, at 20cpu for every resource used, let's round it up to 20k cost to the doctor. Now in turn they get 20-25 charges for each pack at 10k a set comes to 200k-250k for that initial 20k investment. If they harvest the resources themselves it is an even lower initial cost.

You can see similar correlations with other crafting professions, though not as extreme. That's why there are so many doctors in the game now. It's very hard to beat the profit/time ratio.

I have difficulty understanding why people heartily pay 100k for one piece of armor that is temporary and have difficulty paying 10-20k for a stat change that is permanent, that often without they can't even wear their nifty armor.

As for the remark about crafting professions grinding and being bored too: how many master craftsmen still grind out the same item over and over? Isn't that what factories are for?
