Well i am looking forward to the new changes but am rather disappointed that we aren't allowed to have this in a player city. As a master weaponsmith/master artisan/ and master image i spend 95% of my game time in front of my crafting stations in my town. This would be so much better if we were able to place them in our town. I mean imagine how much the towns would prosper with the shuttles and all...especially if you have a patient ider who is willing to help out a ton like that with noobs. I just hope that by the time it is uploaded to all servers the devs have decided to allow us to place in player cities.

Okay and i have one more question with this new interface...how will this work if you are helping out a noob and they have no money to pay for it which lol you aren't expecting them to because hehe they are a noob? I am curious about the entire interface thing....okay thank you for listening to me rant...and to the devs i am happy you all are paying attention to this profession of ours. we definitely deserve it. Thank you again Kwee you are a gem..

I was really looking forward to the new Image Design things. Now I'm not. Restricting the new abilities to five static locations will just require more travel for us and our customers. Let me just say this is an awful idea andwon't be fun for anyone. And consider this... if what we can do is time limited, how fun will it be for people to have some of that time eaten up in travel every time they want the effect. It just makes no sense to me at all.

I've been an Image Designer from the beginning... but my hopes have been dashed.

It's nice ID's are getting more and i'm very new to the game, but i'm a bit bummed. I was hoping since we spawn from the same tree as dancers/musicians we'd get to own cantinas as well. ID for me isn't a hair dresser profession. I use it in conjuction with my smuggler roleplaying to be a master of disguise to out smart the Imperials. I would love to see that roleplaying vision come to fruition in terms of game mechanics, but I won't hold my breath. I am excited about new ID styles, colors, tattoos, ect..

Why not have the tent as a mind bonous, so that those of us who don't want to go to the lag fests of cities can do ID as we please? Maybe a droid model, much like the idea that there is/will be a droid model for every class (Combat: Combat module, Crafters: Crafting stations, Medics: Medical Modules, Entertainers [except us] Effect Modules)?

My main is a master ID as well. /corr hat off

This feature has potential to be great, but it also has potential to turn out very icky.

First things first: There is no reason IDs shouldn't get their own player city building. After these NPC cityones are done, it should be a (relatively) simple matter of copying the model, tying it to a schematic, and dropping it in Architect. There are even 3 varieties for placement on different planets. After this project is done, no more excuses about there not being enough demand to justify the development time. Fair is fair.

The use of these tents: I can think of one feature that would be great. What if the player ID'd the terminal, and a "hologram" of the result appeared on the pad? When the client likes what he/she sees, a few mouse clicks could copy it to the client. That would be a perk to using the tent, but it wouldn't mean we had to trek across the galaxy to do something. As previously stated, I don't think tying down particle effects or any of the advanced abilities to these tents is a good idea. Perhaps making them last longer if they were done in a tent would be acceptable. They should be a perk or a convenience, but never mandatory.

EDIT: that all sounds too negative. I forgot to say how excited I am! Thank you! Seriously!

Thank God that you FINALLY got something nice.

Too bad that it makes you stuck in a non-player city...

Kwee, you said earlier that you should try and twist some arms about this.

Be sure to tell me when you do, I've been making droids since day one so I can build you an army to help you out with that armtwisting.

Have you seen the wicked pincers on the surgical droids?! They got to hurt.

While I can agree with the devs that from a storyline point of view, it makes sense that there are only a limited number of ID tents to come, from a gameplay point of view it is very inconvenient. Analogies to docs and dancers/musicians who are able to place their own buildings in a player city (or even crafters who can place crafting stations and vendors in a player city) are in my opinion just.

I can't see the real problem with ID tents being placeable in player cities. From a story line point of view you might counter that by saying that it makes no sense for a town of just 40ish citizens to have a highly sophisticated ID tent, but then again, from the same viewpoint,is it realistic for the same town to have a shuttleport and a hospital? I don't hear anyone complain about those, so what's the big deal with player city ID tents?

If we don't get these tents in our player cities, I will be very very disappointed.(Not that anyone cares about that...)

Very much like the concept and I'm all in support of it in theory. I will add my vote/concern that these new goodies should in fact be placable within player cities.

Second point: Why just those five cities? If they are to to be tied to static cities why not a bit more accessability. The reason I raise this point is that I'm based out of Talus. If I were on Naboo, Corella, or Tatooine, it'd be a simple shuttle trip. Annoying and inconvenient yes, but livable. As it stands, I will need to make a shuttle as well as a starport trip. I'm sure I"m not the only one that's based out on one of the "outter" planets. I woudn't mind Nashal or Dearic having one. Perhaps each "capital" city should have one? Just a thought.

The tent will not be placeable by us.

It is only located in five cities (just got that confirmed by our dev):

Theed

Moenia

Bestine

Coronet (good thing I logged there, I couldn't find it for anything last night)

Vreni Island

I just think a much better idea would be to allow master ID's to own their own cantinas, and then place a special ID terminal in every one that allows us to use these new features. So many rooms aren't ever used in a cantina anyways, it could be easy to make one for ID's.

WOOHOO! Nice to see my longsuffering loyalty to the profession is finally paying off. /mood excited

I don't know what they do but I MUST HAVE ONE. I MUST HAVE my own ID tent to place in my Player City. If this feature is pushed back or overlooked, rest assured that these will be one more waste of time that no one will use. They MUST be placeable in towns, named by us, with decor by us. Otherwise it's just one more thing causing lag that gets ignored.

As far as look, I kind of like them but they are WAY too "girly". Lose the pink. Most players are male, including most ID customers, & many ID players themselves. An option for the pink frou frou look is fine. But there MUST be a version that's cool looking & fun but not FEMININE. NO male character (or character played by most males) will ever step foot in that tent. It looks like a Barbie playset. It's like an anti-customer barricade. Guys are as likely to go there (for any incentive) as they are to go to a beauty salon & sit next to women getting their nails done.

ID is not the "girlie" profession nor the slumber party makeover profession. This visual just reinforces that stereotype & will get us further ridicule &fewer customers.
