I have to agree with 95% of this post. (Not everyone who has tattoos has them because it's a fad. Some of us "older" people have been collecting art for our own reasons for decades and are shocked at the trendiness of them these days.)
Yes, I know that as IDs, we all tend to be a creative bunch, and this is a creative outlet for some. However, I just think that taking something unique to one race and giving it to all lessens the impact of said trait. (Ahem...anyone recall non-Twi'lek with lekku?) Then again, maybe as a tattoo enthusiast in RL who doesn't get the markings on myself to be cute/trendy, I see this as a tad bit silly. (shrugs)

ok lets see:
1) Most visible parts for tattoos:
a) Face/head
b) arms
2) Where I want to have tattoos:
a) Arms
b) Torso
3) What kind of designs for Tattoos:
I think it would be best to get a nice collection of a) symbols of all kind and b) another set of larger more stylish motives for the torso.
4) Color:
The best way would be to give smaller black and white tattoos for novice to low level skills, then give a full palette of nice colors at lets say tattoo 3/4 with more tattoos to choose from, and finally some two-color/multi-color motives for master.
5) Size:
As stated under 4: small/simple ones to start with... later larger more complex ones.
6) Imperial/Rebel logo-tattoo wth GCW function:
Well I don't know what kind of function a tattoo might have.But I'm sure there will be alot of players that will want such tattoos even without any further function...

1/ What would be the most visible places for tattoos to go? Assuming a person is wearing some clothing/armor. Pick TWO.
i would say on the arm(biggest request) and the back... my personal... especially for females..
2/ Where on your body would you most like to have a tattoo? Pick TWO.
my back... have one in rl so i think it would be pretty neat to get madison like me, and feet
3/ What types of designs would you mostlike to see? Can be specific or a category. Pick TWO.
biggest thing i have heard is tribal to go with lots of the zab's face ones
personally would like to see ... hmm... not sure, maybe something SW type...
4/ What about colors? Black and white only, limited palette, or very colorful palette?

i would like to see as lifelike as can be... depending on the body part... i feel like arms should be relatively small, and say like back ones should be of a larger size... if that makes sense.
6/ What do you think of the idea of having Imperial/Rebel tattoos that would have a GCW function?
a way to really make the GCW feel like its getting some show!
Yes, i think this would be great... i think this will really show the GCW some love!

ok, i think i misunderstood the whole imp/reb tattoo question there... didn't read ppls respoonses before posting my own opinion, since i wanted to have my own thought.... lol
kinda mixed on the 6 question there.... thee are many different ideas that can surround it... i would like to see it a little more detailed beofre i answer it.
but my BIG question about the tattoo.... will the be removable, or will they need to buy a lazer kit that ID's will make to remove them!! lol
(just thinking as if in real life if you want to remove the tat!! =)))

Personally, I either am in full composite, or I'm running around in my mid-riff baring clothes. So I would have to pick stomach and back.
2/ Where on your body would you most like to have a tattoo? Pick TWO.
I would like a tattoo across my midriff, maybe small of the back.
3/ What types of designs would you mostlike to see? Can be specific or a category. Pick TWO.
Corellian butterflies, durnis, abstract (I guess this is what people mean by tribal), writing in the SWG script.
4/ What about colors? Black and white only, limited palette, or very colorful palette?
As a master ID, I would need a very colorful palette or I could never match my tattoos to my current style.
5/ Size? Huge tattoos versus small tattoos (though this would of course vary by location).
THis should really be based on where it is, I'd like a large tattoo across my midriff.

I'd have to know what that function was going to be, the real issue I see with GCW tattoos is that people switch sides every day, if someone goes rebel and gets a tattoo, then switches to imperial...do they still have the tattoo, and does it still have the original function?
