Thread: Player City Idea- Salon
Hi all,
I just got Master today!!!! hooray for me
and I also run a mining buisness, in which i use all 10 slots, im afraid if ID tents used a slot i would not be interested in placing one, that would mean losing 21K metal a day, which translates to near 63Kcr of lost revenue per day, for a money man like myself, its just not worth it, i personaly think it would be nice if all master and only master IDs could place 2-3 tents, my reason for this is until everyone starts moving out of the NPC cities, youll need at least 1 tent in your player city and 1 in the nearest npc city, anyway, those are my thought, also id like to see a need for the ID(read my thread), i liked the suggestion for disguises, could we be allowed temporary name changes as well? whats the point in diguising yourself if everyone knows who you are, i think this would open up a very interesting field for the ID i know this would be a long time away but mabye a profession that branches from the ID, that would allow you to change yours and others names temporarily (mabye 3 hrs or more for ex.) mabye (all though i hear its been vetoed) temporary sex/race changes, anyway those are my thoughts.

Yeah, this is the problem I see with the tent idea as well.
I think we should try to keep it more in line with the other entertainer professions & have a building that would work as a Salon/Spa or be able to place hotels which could encompass all of these functions in one already existing building. We could include chefs & doctors as types able to place these buildings too since they are also service type professions when in a Salon/Spa/Resort type environment.
I think being able to heal BF through massage etc. is a perfect way to tie in ID's to the whole Spa/Salon idea that makes good sense. And since it's so closely tied in with the entertainer lines it would seem more as an added benefit to entertainers instead of being in competition with them, since most ID's are also masters of something else in the entertainer line.
I also like the idea of being able to perform disguises or sell wigs & makeup, etc.
Keep the ideas rolling folks!

While reading your post the first time, all I could think about was that there are only two sentences in the entire thing. LOL
On to the actual topic. I think the possibility of changing names opens up a whole new avenue of griefing, people changing their names to harass, insult, or stalk another player, etc. If there's some way to control this, I'm all for it, but I think this is something that should be left up to the CSR's for right now. As for race changes, for me personally I'm all for it (some days I feel like being a rodian, but no matter how hard I try I can't seem to make my little human girl grow antennae), but the whole idea just screams exploit. Anyway, they've already nixed that idea, so there's no reason in even debating it, unfortunately.
