Thread: Odim's UI issues

What I am asking for is nothing that would change what the client see's. Its nothing that would change what our interface would look like. All I'm simply asking for is whenyou click on an available option, it updates it on the client avatar so that it maybe seen. Period.
I'm confused as to what you want, since we have the feature you're suggesting already.
At this point, a client can preview a change via the interface before accepting. The accept box has options to see the avatar with and without the change, and the client will view both on his or her physical avatar. We don't expect people to blindly accept whatever we offer.
If you're referring to a feature that is already in the game, I honestly can't see what we're arguing about.
I'm fairly new to ID so my voice probably doesn't carry much weight, but I seriously think that before any content fixes are applied to ID, there needs to be a way to make modifying a player easier. ie.
Player: Can you change my hair?
Me: Of course what would you like?
Player: Oh I don't know can I see them all?
or
Player: I want one thats like this but different ( I get that a lot)
Which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to commit and reject 15 times. Then try to remember which one looked best. Or which was the 11th one you tried.. There should be a way to click on a (example) Hairstyle and it previews on your screen and theirs "live" that way you can cycle thru with a simple click and they can tell you when to stop. This way your customers get the full spectrum of options before they tire of the trial and error process.
Just a thought...

Theres the link to it..... this is simply all i wanted a live preview
Whether we agree with each other is completely irrelevant. We can disagree. We have disagreed. We argue, forcefully, passionately about the topic at hand. Disagreement should not lead to snarky, off-topic rebuttals.
As for Odim: recognize, too, that this is a community that loves this profession and respects it. We do not appreciate being devalued as vending machines. And it would be expected that one who notifies us to climb into that little box and accept that limited role will not be treated kindly. Although we should all rise above negativity, realistically you catch more flies with honey - your ideas will be more likely taken seriously (even if they are not agreed with) if you show the community more respect.
