Thread: Lets do some constructive Brainstorming....

I have one major wish.

Black facial hair that's really black. I'm tired of having grey smudges across my forehead that is supposed to pass for black. It looks like I've been rolling in the dirt. Same goes for male facial hair. It just makes them look unwashed.


Past that: tattoos. The ability to ID vendors. The ability to change last names (although I don't know if this would be possible, I learned from the Tarquinas CSR that they have to temporarily change your first name in order to change your last name). Body paint (I want to be bright colors once in a while, daggone it). More options for the wookiees! They need love! And that matriarch painting (which I've seen once on my server and am now lusting after) is so awesome looking. She REALLY looks female. MORE BODY SIZING OPTIONS. I want my character tohave the body ofBeyonce... not Calista Flockhart. *shudders*


A couple of technical things:

Color blocks that I don't need a magnifying glass to see.

Numbers back on our sliders.

As a vendor owner I would love if ID's could ID my vendors.

Gender Balance overall. I cant even count how many times I have heard this, but seriously if you arent human,zab,or twilek chances are most people will assume you to be male, and thats just wrong.






While I can see your concern, the races of wookiee, mon-calamari and trandoshian just do not have developed mammary glands. Wookiee females, while being mammals, have several small tetes to feed thier young. Mon-calamari and trandoshian offspring do not breastfeed thier young being aquatic and reptiles figuratively. LA already stated they would not bend continuity of racial appearance, falling well in line with no race/gender changes for ID's.


Gender balance is not really an issue. As you gain more practice in image design, you will be able to make those alien females look like divas worthy of thier species. I even offer design lessons on my server for those who need assistance. You can do it!




Oh, and fix the entertainer profession....

I'd like the customer to have a little more info passed to them, at least let them see the color palette of what you are working on so when they say they want blue they could possibly actually kind of indicate a color selection.


I have a problem seeing the hairstyles in the image designer window. Maybe make them a little larger or some way of making them clearer to see.


I'd like to be able to adjust the size of the top of the head(at least human heads), sometimes player heads just look like balloons or that they are suffering from somebrain swelling trauma.


I just hit Master yesterday(I was already 4/4/4/2 before the patch), had someone approach me and said they wanted to look like Wedge at the Rebel Hideout. So, we trek all the way out there and I actually look at Wedge and it's like why can't I make something that looks like that. Sure, Wedge isn't a good looking character but, I just wished I could make people look a little more natural like Wedge. The player's eyes(well at least the human ones) always just seem weird to me, and humans just all tend to look like generic carbon copies of each other. Messed around with his face for a bit but, he still tended to look just like every other human. More options and possibly some options taken from NPCs.


Three dimensional beards and eyebrows. Male eyebrows and beardsalmost look like they plucked them and drew them back on.


An interesting thoughtwouldbe to allow the customer tosample design themselves at a console, of course the console would be only a sandbox that only allowed them to view changesor perhaps it could make a disk that an image designer could bring up and make the changes the customer had pre-selected. Though the things I would be afraid of is that IDsmightbasically just become someone who just read these disks(though the consolesmight not feature all the possibilites, just so sometimes customers would have to work with an ID) and the possible call other players might have for just allowing the console to actually do the ID change.

Maybe to getthe devs to help uswe should do somepost in the form of a story line we would like to see?


example:


Fearing MID where helping the rebels Imp. general So-n-so had all stat migrations terminals destroyed (show all ID terminals in tents broken)


Later over the next few weeks; MIDs stop using the tents and they look it. (the plants die, tent colors fad, tars and ribs happen)


To help the war effort Imp. general So-n-so declares civilians(vendors) can now use ID services WHEN they pay a luxury tax to help the war effort.

Other than agreeing with most mentioned here. (i think most art things are covered)

Id also like to suggest a few 'functional' roles for ID's (followed by RP explanations)



  • Onewould be for ID's to give a kind of health buff to players (through massaging and revitalising)

  • Another could be for ID's to give a temperory buff that would increase the value of all food/drink the subject takes (dietician consulting )



Will add more if i think of more. Im only adding new idea's bear in mind, ive read most the previous ones and agree with them but ive no need to repeat them

I'm all about us having something to replace our income and our interdependency, but I'm just so burned out on buffing. LOL Comes from being a dancer and trying to compete with the zombies. I'd love it if they included ID's in the implementation of the cybernetics. Could be very lucrative.

I dont think there are many l33t d00dz on my server so i wasnt really thinking of this when i made these suggestions


Im trying to think of options to give ID's something other than new art (since pleanty of this has already been suggested). We just lost the proffessioninter-dependancy of stat migrations. And i thinkwe should get a bit of inter-dependancy back in some ways. New artwork is great, but as with the revamp a while ago there is a big burst as everyone piles on you for the new changes, but after that buisness is really not very regular. Id prefer if we also had a means of regular repeatable buisness to keep a steady flow for pure ID's. Some loved Stat migrations, some didnt, somedid not mindbut just didnt want to go to ID tents to do it (like me).


Id like for something a bit more fun than stat migrations, but equally usefull and a reason people may want to seek you out.

I'm not an ID but I have vendors and would really be willing to pay to get them a "make-over" and I can also imagine wanting to change them once in a while. If vendor ID was possible, I sure don't see it as being a one time thing for my vendors just my 2 cents
