Look you two. Pay attention while you are camping the Devs, or I will have to disband you both. Last thing we need is for some Jedi to steal the spawn.

No worries, I have my /target self;/ui action cycleTargetOutward;/pester macro running. I don't have to pay attention, I just have to keep the spawn in view.

The problem is if you don't have a big enough brick or can't find the right head. The devil is in the details.

On the other hand, you see the MASSIVELY botted Entertainer profession. Unlike every other basic or Elite Profession, Dancers/Musicians/ID's bring absolutely NOTHING to your party but a 100 or so Skill Point deficeit of useful abilities. While the Entertainer is with you, you have to protect them because they die easier than anyone else, unless they have another class to compensate.

This is not exactly true. I have a character who is a master dancer and TKM (and a great way to hide from tailor/ID tell hell!) . I took her on a guild hunt for nightsisters yesterday and I would say she was one of the two most useful people in the entire group! It wasn't so much for the buffs but for the healing abilities. As everyone fought, our combat medic would heal people, including their minds and would end up with massive mind wounds which take up most of her mind bar. After a hard fight, we would set up a camp, I would heal everyone's mind damage, reapply buffs and then we would go out again. Before I had a master dancer, these outings used to be very fast because once the CM's mind was gone, that meant taking a trip back to Coronet to get healed and the entire hunt would fall apart. With me there to heal, it went on for hours! So I would not say that these skills are useless in a party.

True! However, a Novice Entertainer can do that job just as well, with some food, and BE clothes. Your Dancer/Musician skills don't really contribute anything of substance, is what I mean. I should revise my comments on that.

And you can't use any Entertainer skill in actual Combat. Doctors with droids can heal wounds/buff on the fly, but you can't start dancing while fighting, and camps automatically close when the camp's maker comes underfire, or leaves a certain radii. I believe there is a very, very small Ranged Defense bonus at Master Dancer, and I think that's about it.

Well I'm not an ID, but miragel is so I was there sitting with her in the discussion (though i am a musician). I was the one who asked if the droid engineers could make us salon components for our entertainer droids...

Btw he seemed to like that idea a good deal =)

now lets hope something of value gets done for you guys, other than just the id'ing pets thing someone kept asking about.
