Thread: Need your input to compile a new State of the Profession :)
This is a little blurb I have in my Bio
"I can make you look like any other member of your species and your gender, but the look that you should keep is the look that is unique"
And that is precisely WHY I like ID. I can be unique. I can make YOU unique. I can express my creative nature in a way that many people will recognize as being different from the majority of other people.
My biggest Pet Peeve? Right now, it's gotta be the Mind thing, although certain limitations (bald, height, ETC.) do bother me.
And I wish for... MORE. As an ID, I see your character as a canvas and the individual options I can change as a medium. I've had people come up to me and say "Chari... make me look cool. Be creative! Whatever you want!" And I did. But sometimes it's not enough. It seems almost repetitive sometimes to look at the same Human Female do's or Twi'lek Lekku patterns over and over. We need MORE! For all the bugs ID has we are still relatively less than bugged, and I don't see addition of content as a chance to 'just add more bugs' as some would.
#1thing you enjoy about the profession
creating a characters look of course, hehe
#1 pet peeve with the profession
graphical flaws that we cannot fix or work around, for example:
1. male calves are way to big & look unnaturalin comparison with their thighs
2. females have no option to thicken hips & legs without making them too fat
3.many species have a white face shadingthat doesn't match the rest of their skin color
4. face colors don't always match between a male & female of the samespecies due to number 3
6. facial hair is not 3d &does notmatch regular hairstyles & colors, & looks like a bad paintjob
7. Twi'lek females have a bright white line between their upper & lower lip that looks terrible
8. humanoid hands & feet look like they were born with birth defects
9. Age wrinkles look very unnatural & are wrinkled in all the wrong place with not enough choices
Other than this the usual lighting, slider, & hair bugs bug me (no pun intended, hehe).
#1 wish list item for the profession
1.all the above graphic flaws get fixed
2. we get the ability to ID vendors
3.a universal numbered color pallate shared by all crafting/ID professionsfor bettercolor matching
4. an added purpose for the ID profession that goes beyond looks & is needed on a regular basis
#1thing you enjoy about the profession
Interacting with people, playing with the options

The interface. We need a better one, something where we have a window in the interface concentrated on the part of the body we're ID'ing so we can better see what we're doing. Currently, the interface is hard to use due to that face, with the lighting as bad as it is in most places, and using /examine doesn't work that well.
