Yes I must agree, brighter hair colors and bald are the requests i get for hair. Skin colors are also big, darker skin colors, and unusual colors are also asked for a lot.

  1. I to be able to register in a planetary location with Image Design the same way i register as a Dancer in a cantina. I should be able regsiter anywhere on the map. To be honest, no one has trouble doing a search for Image Desgners to find me, but it would still be nice to not have to give a waypoint all the time. Let me register and wait for customers to come to me.

  2. Im not sure what suggestions we've given have meshed... im not sure than any of our suggestions have even made it. Suggestion: fix the slider bug and the hair color bug then ill be happy. Until then i feel like we're being ignored. These are flaws in our prfoession that limit our ability to do our job.

  3. You know, i like the fact that im not dependant on another profession to do my image design work. I dont havea set price for ID work and i like the fact that i can just do it. If you were to add disguises and stuff i might not mind having to get supplies from an artisan for the disguise purpose, but NEVER to do my normal Image Designing.

  4. Im already a Master Artisan and do plenty of crafting with that thanks. I dont want to craft with ID as well as Artisan. News Flash, crafting isnt that fun. I understand why some ID'ers want to have SOMETHING to craft but really i dont see that its needed.

  5. Do more than pursue it Thunderheart, fall in love with the idea of Image Designers working on vendors... have a baby with that idea, raise that idea to adulthood and release it on the world of SWG.

  6. A part in the war.... eh, i dont really want a part in the world. I cant see how an Image Designer would have time to mess with all the combat people coming for buffs or whatever on top of their normal ID work. If i have my Master Image Designer tag on, im busy working. Ill get a tell within 15 minutes when i log in and thats if the day is slow.

  7. A better interface is needed for sure! We need lighting, the ability to lock a player in place. We need the player to have a window that they can see so they can move thier avatar around. Lock the ID'er and the customer into an Image Design Session. Also, number all the hairstyles already... its just a number. Hand me the code and ill learn how to put it in for you guys, it really cant be that hard.

  8. I dont think an extensive redesign is needed other than interface and additional options. More hairstyles would be great (some of the female bothan styles would look so good on humans its sickening). Wild colors for hair and body... this is the kind of stuff we want TH, and its not a lot really.... just colors and hair.

  9. I guess i can understand that the bugs are hard to diagnose.... BUT, this slider bug... lets talk about it. I start and ID session and then move to Nose Protrusion...POOF, the slider goes to zero and i have NO idea what it was before. Here is what i would like to see, give us a diagnosis box similar to what medics have with /diag, it would give us hard numbers on all body attributes when we begin the session. With this we could change someone back to the way they were no matter what because we have a little box that tells us exactly what the sliders were set to.

  10. I dont understand how Hairstyles can be easier than colors, i just dont get it. Its color, give it to us! Seriously, give us the colors for hair that we have for lip color (while making sure the older hair colors are still available, i MUST have #20 blonde). This cant be that hard can it?

All in all im still hopeful. There arent many that play this profession for the sake of playing the profession. When the jedi system is changed, many people wont even bother to grind ID anymore so the Masters that are here will need all the content you can give us to keep our interest up.

I've been an image designer for oh i'd say a month now and completely agree with most of the posts reguarding this profession. Although it was a nice change of pace to be able to level something quickly and i mostly decided to become an Image designer because i get bored of my charrie's looks very easily, it would be nice to have some other benificial aspect besides correcting whatever mistakes a player made in creating his/her charrie. Most of my requests have been for a different hairstyles or changing their hair color/markings. The returning customers are those that usually wantwhatever you did to them changed back (like we remember).Better designs and more options are necessary for ID's to have available not so much for humans but for non human races that were NOT available in the charrie creation process. I also have a zabrak and i must say ALL the hairstyles are terrible except one... they all look like she is balding!!! As several other players have mentioned the color palette is very limited. I disagree with having characters gain weight or whatever that comment was... just as much as i disagree with having a stomach. Its too complicated and would be a turn off fora few to play the game, my husband is already pissed about the stomach thing, lol.One thing i thought of while reading this thread was wouldn't it be nice to be able to offer stat enhancing tattoos or something of that nature instead of complicated disguises. Yes disguises would work for NPC's but what good is it against players that see your name hovering above your head. Makeup kits? wow,why go to an Image designer when u can just buy a make up kit off the bazaar? Thats what would happen, we would loose our vain customers who need their lipstick changed weekly >.< Plus that would require us having to seek out all sorts of fun resources which i already have to do as a tailor... and for my fellow players who may depend on ID for a living this may not work out very well.

Also it would be nice if they made it possible for their to be guild emblems and have to seek out an ID to put it on or something. It would give people reason to seek us out and a means of making money. Any money i've made as an image designer has been soley from tips... some don't tip at all or think that the ID comes with the clothing they just purchased. I'm very glad that they are making it possible to ID on vendors... something my giant pink twi'lk vendor needs ASAP! One last thing... since ID's seem to be in the business of correcting character creation mistakes... wouldn't it be nice to change the surname of a charrie... like for say character weddings or something? Of course it would have to go through a filiter but it would be another improvement.

oh and on a side note... WE NEED BETTER CLOTHING!!!!

Thanks.

Ok...this is not my area, but as a potential customer of ID I'd like to point something out: I have "Mask Scent" to protect me from those evil, annoying crazed bunnies, but nothing that I can find to serve the same from those evil, equally annoying meatlumps.

Wouldn't it be nice if I could buy a faction-fooling (but consumable) disguise kit from an ID to fool various swoopers and thugs and such without inducing needless wear and tear on my FWG5 when visiting my (extractors, house, shop)?

I'd consider it cool if I could even try disguising myself as an Imperial officer to get past a bunch of busy-body imperial crackerdowners so as to get to my (extractor, house, shop).

And I'd like to really look like an imperial officer too, complete with the idiotic grin. Stupid maybe, but fun.

Is this any good or should I just go take my medicine?

Rangers have planet specific Camo that does this, BUT they have to aply it like a Doc buff and it wares off and can be broken just like maskscent. Also it requires very specific reasouces from the planet that they are making the Camo for AND only a master can camo ALL planets, Box 1 is Easy Newbe planets (Cor, Tat, Nabbo), box 2 is AVD. Neebe planets (Talus and dant), Box 3 is low lvl adveture planets (Lok and Rori), Box 4 is Adv. Adventure (Endor and Yavin IV), and Master is the Death planet Dathmore

I think Kwee gave a very good summary of what is happening to the ID- community and our wishes. I think it says it all.

I really have the same feeling. IDing was my first "love". And now after months seeing nothing happens i am seriously considering to step over to Chef.I checked this board to see if any hard dates of a patch for IDing have come up. But sadly i see no dates. So i think my descision to drop ID is final.

I have, however some input for better IDing based on TH answers.

- Do IDers want to craft: YES if we get good items like disguisekits, make-up, wigs, petmake-up, buffsetc. Its the best and easiest way to introduce IDing into the rest of the community and making them dependent from it.

Part of vision is that IDing should be an elite after Artisan. Add certain craftables (such as make-up) in the line of artisan. IDers should be able to make money with missions for artisans this way in a very easy way (no development for idermissions needed. at least at first). The line in entertainer has to vanish (maybe add singing for entertainers?). Abilities in the entertainer line should either be added in artisan but preferably in novice ider.

Crafting of make-up/wigs/pet-make-up : same as clothes not depending on quality. Since it should be in the artisan line => no specific resources.

disquisekits should depend on quality. THe higher the quality the more options of certain specific disquise looks or the longer NPC-faction-disquise stays on(for more explenation see diquise kits). preferably no specific resources.

- Merchant vs ID with vendormake-over. IDers should be able to alter vendors with the same options as a character. Merchants however should be able to change the vendor (with hiring IV) with bought items, such as make-up. The same as with tailor. Tailor makes the clothes and the merchant can apply them.

Petmake-up - petmake-up (overall temporarycolorchange) should be made by iders and applied bya CH.The make-up should fade in a day or a week. Suggestion on colors: NEON, black, naturals.

- Disquise kit ...Like spices and food disquise should have a timelimit. "Second there should be a waiting time (like muon) for reapplying. First it blances the gameplay. Second to ensure grievers dont abuse disquise. Dosquise kits should be crafted in crates of 25 like most food or spices.

Types of disquise:

- NPC-faction disquise (maskscent-like) - this disquise doesnt need to visual (like maskscent)

- roleplay disquise (real look dsiquise) - choices from other races to imperial officers (sort of menu with premade chars that look like a certain profession or race etc).

Buffs : A few ideas of types of buffs thatare body or mentaltraining related. (preferably craftable)

Yoga buff - Concentrates the mind. So it gives mind reduce cost (50% less or so)and lets medics do better buffs or heals in combat or crafting increases.

Barbarian -buff (preferably craftable): this type of buff enhances the naturalphysique (Health+action)for a fighter like medic-buffs do. it enhances the damage done and weakens the defense a bit (more damage extra relatively then defense less).

Massage-buff: negative BF.

more colors : i amazes me to read that TH doesnt know anything about this. A few months back this was the only point devs were thinking about to change since it was the easiest thing to do. This reaction convinced me to stop.

Furthermore it amazes me that developers think that profession shifting is a thing done after a few weeks. Especially with roleplaying its not the case. (How often did they have a career change rl?) This has never been done in any game and the other games have the advantage of more toons per account.

3D facial hair: to be honest if it never comes..i couldnt care less...

Master-ID : extra option to put yourself or your shop on the planetary map.

I wanted to play off the spa/massage idea. The only buff that is never addressed is battle fatigue. My suggestion is that when you visit an image designer for massage or spa treatment you receive a negative battle fatigue buffer. In which case, as you collect BF, your BF will move towards positive:

ig:

Toron Lightrunner visits Kwee for a massage. The masage is relaxing and aids in the removal of his battle fatigue. Kwee suggests for 1000 credits she can revitialize his body to endure more shock when he returns to the field. Toron agrees and after an exchange of cash, Kwee proceeds to buff Toron. When the revitilazation is complete, Toron has -500 BF.

Now when Toron fights, this number goes to positive as he accumulates shock. So that at the end of battle one Toron has taken 50 shock and therefore has -450 BF. After several battles he takes 300BF more and now had 150 BF, and so on ...

Also off the disguise idea. ID's can make make-up FX kits. They can be of several kinds: Imperial, Rebel, Thug, Sandperson, etc... Wearing the disguise will not make you immune to attack or harassment, but rather buff your faction temporarily, say by +3000 for an hour. IF your faction still happens to be negative after the buff then you should work on your faction, as even simple disguises are not enough to fool a faction, you must do work to blend in to truely master espionage.

Some food for thought, keep this up top...

I just became a master id. I am loving this profession but would like more things to do with it. I would love to be able to have a salon and npc characters to show styles to customers where they can walk in and say okay i like that hairstyle, that lipstick, eyeshadow, and that body shape. Which all of these things can be different npc's. Maybe like 6 npc's for the salon would be nice.

I really like the idea too of being able to change someone's race but i think there should be a time limit on it that way if they like it they have to come back for a touch up.

Being able to give a massage would be nice too. I would love to be able to help someone out with their mind or batte fatigue. Different hair colors would be absolutely awesome too. All of these are such wonderful ideas that people have posted...i would love to see more of id being important than we are right now.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread, but there *IS* a class that can make you "invisible" to NPC's! Frankly, it's one of the only useful things a Ranger can do. They can craft an item (usable only by rangers) called a "camo kit" that will make any character or pet invisible to aggro or "aggressive yellow" npc's and mobs. Versus creatures, it functions much like mask scent, but versus NPC's is where it really shines. Got a -5000 thug standing? Meatlumps will ignore you when you're /conceal'ed!

I'm all for giving ID's the ability to temporarily "cloak" a player from GCW faction detection, but protection from NPC's is already clearly established in one of the other "gimp" professions. Take it from a current ID, and former Master Ranger.

All hail the brotherhood of the gimps!
