The worst id experience i ever had was when one person asked for id work at cornet starport i told the guy i was in the process of working on someone else but would get to him as soon as i could. Well when i finished with my current client i telled the guy who said im near the tuskan fort but would still like a few changes made so off i go get a return ticket to tat and back and head off to fort tuskan. After 20 mins of altering the client and numerous changes made he just says thanks and runs back into the fort no tip or anything. So it cost me 1600 credits and 40 mins (including shuttle time) to do that guys id and i get a thanks. Should have dueled him as i am a master carbiner too

This is why I have my no-travel rule: if people want their look changed, they can come to me. I mean, if people need to buy a house, or a new pair of shoes, or whatever, they don't /tell the person and say "I need this and this, and I'm at xxxx yyyy". I mean, they COULD, but the person they're /telling would laugh at them long and hard. I personally do the same. It's all about providing a service.

LOL, now I'm glad I'm semi-retired...these days I only do ID for a few guildies that know I still have master in it. I'm glad they are adding the pay up front feature for those that need it.

I always really like it when you have a moron followed by an incredibly nice customer.

Guy wanted a change in hairstyle. He asked me to show him what was available, so I use my general tactic of going with what I think would be attractive first. He laughed at everything and came within inches of insulting my choices. So I showed him all the rests (with a couple of accidental repeats) He says no to all of them, then he changes his hair to what he wanted to begin with. Apparently he's an entertainer ID and didn't bother to tell me. Then he wants his face altered, but he doesn't know how and every change I propose is soundly rejected, generally with an insult. He keeps asking for things though! I admit, I made an excuse that I had a guild meeting to attend and left him there. I knew I wouldn't get any money (I do list costs up front, and they're fairly cheap, 1k for all changes except the most mind-draining changes like height, plus an additional 2k for every 15 minutes of my time. Am I charging too much?).

So a lady walks up to me as I'm on the way to the starport and asks for an ID. I give my excuse, but she was really nice about it so I told her if she kept it quiet I would do it for her. She wanted a simple hairstyle change, no color. I told her it would be 1k and showed her a style I thought would really set off her face. She agreed instantly, and sent me 15k, and ASKED if she could keep me in her friends list for future requests. I practically begged her to! She's sent requests since, and she's such a tremendous customer I'll travel wherever I need to, drop what I'm doing unless it involves another customer etc.

Moral of the story: treat your ID well and they will go trememndous lengths to serve you

i ALWAYS tip 10k minimum..... even back when i only had around 10k credits at any given time lol

i usually throw in a little extra (like 15k, not 10 ) if they're nice and friendly and patient.....
i'm very picky and usually get an ID change every couple of weeks but haven't lately- i'm waiting for this new patch, hoping some great things will come out of it

also you should ask for tips in advance...... i KNOW you think this may be an insult, but it's VERY hard to find an ID ever, so if they aren't willing to pay you well or are just rude, then just give them a fat belly or something and tell him or her "it's a display bug"

You think you can SELL them? I think you'd have to pay to GIVE them away!

Seriously though... I don't see much 'demand' for my 'supply' of emotes.
