Runesabre
I admit it, I have been a fan of yours since you were the Ultima Online Man
When you came to SWG, I breathed a deep sigh of relief.
Now, well you are justifying my thoughts just about everywhere you post..even DE lol and that takes some doing.
More power to you, thats my vote, for the community and the game.
If theres blue hair.....

Well this was certainly not the topic of discussion I expected when I read the thread title, I must say I'm impressed. ![]()
For anyone interesting in this Phi thing and how it relates to math, art, music, and just about everything else, this book is a must.
Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid
by Douglas R. Hofstadter
A word of warning... while it's fairly heavy reading,it'sextremely well written and easy to understand.
I stand corrected

I think the ratio was 1 to 1.618, i saw a movie on it in geometry class. The strange thing is, this ratio is found all over the body. The distance between the naval and the feet is 1.618 times greater than the distance from the naval to the head. The ratio is all over the face. This isn't true in every case, however, theoretically, if someone were to have 1.618 ratios all over the body they'd be mathematically gorgeous.
That ratio you keep seeing (1.618) is a common ratio foundto naturally occur innature called the Golden Ratio or Phi. Humans find objects that conform to the Golden Ratio (Phi) to be visually pleasing. Architects use the ratio to create buildings that people enjoy looking at. Conversely, objects that people consider "ugly" typically do not conform to the Golden Ratio (Phi).
Here's a reference link to learn more about the Golden Ratio (Phi)http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/emt669/Student.Folders/Frietag.Mark/Homepage/Goldenratio/goldenratio.html

I feel so special that runesaber quoted me... i think it's a prohechy...I wonder if the devs used the Golden Ratio while designing charachters.
Also, according to the movie, Tom Cruise is the best looking d00d mathematically speaking...
