Will the stats revert to the original stats when the toon was created, or will the stats be frozen at the time CU goes live?

I don't have the answer to that, but, logically speaking, can you imagine the outcry if we were just left with our (sometimes lousy) stat migrations without the option to change them? "Ha ha, you have a bad migration, now you're stuck with it, guess you'll have to reroll." Don't think that is going to happen.

Neither of both. Chars will start with 1000 Health and increases will depend on their professions (and very few on their race).Other stats will sure be equal for all.

I'm not too fussed about losing stat migrations however I am very concerned that I will no longer be able to master a combat proffesion, ID and still have the amount of merchant that I currently do.

ID is being reduced by 16pts and the combat classes that are being increased are being increased by 14pts. You are actually gaining 2pts and a basic combat line.

So, there are combat classes that are getting a 14 pointINCREASE at the same time we are getting a 16 point decrease? The sh!t is going to hit the fan... and hard. I'm tired of devs making decisions that make the rest of the players hate us when we never asked for it. Please tell me this is wrong, or that along with this revamp will be an overall increase in available skill points so that the combat players will not feel nerfed at the same time we are being given an unfair advantage. This would be a double slap in the face to the combat community, & we will be the ones who bear the full brunt of it.

By the way, does anyone know which professions will have the increase in point requirements? I just got back to playing after months of brooding about losing 24 permanent points after the devs broke their last promise to us with publish 10. If I won't be able to build up to the templates I have planned out yet again, I'm going to be plenty p!ssed about it.

In all fairness, several combatprofessions are having their costs reduced as well and the door is open for a few other professions.

Basically all of the Marksman and Brawler professions that currently require only one line to get will now require two lines. The Marksman ones actually make some kind of sense because Pistoleer, Carbineer and Rifleman will all now require Ranged Support. The brawler ones though, will each require a second line from Brawler... Swordsman will require both 1-handed and 2-handed, Fencer will require 1-handed and Unarmed, TK will require Unarmed and 2-handed and Pikeman will require polearms and 2-handed (I think I listed the pairings right, but could easily be wrong)... and some of those pairings just make no sense. I saw one post that suggested that they combine Swordsman and Fencer, eliminate the 1-handed line and make a general support line in Brawler that is similar to Ranged Support in Marksman... others have suggested that they just increase the skill point requirements of each of the skills in Brawler and forget pairing them since the pairings are obviously just skill point sinks.

Ugh...time to drop ID.

Stat migs were 70% of my business, and pay wise I'd get 10-50k for a stat mig while I got 0-3k for physical changes. Not to mention how crazy hard it's going to be to level up in ID without the experience cow that was stat migs. So now it'll go down to getting one tell a week for a hair or body change and getting 3k for it. That just isn't worth the skill points I'm spending to Master ID, even if it's reduced by 16, that's still too many points wrapped into a profession that's getting its legs chopped out from under it.

I love be able to change my own appearance, and the appearance of others, but it's not worth it without stat migs- that's where all my non-friend business came in.

This is the suxs thing about these MMORPG. The companies try to evolve and make the game better, but for the sake of thecombat classes suddenly they're pulling the most sought-after ability I have within my prof. I spend the time and the effort to Master the class, and suddenly the class is nerfed. Sure, I didn't need to Master, but I wanted to be the best I could at it. And while there are people who will never make a change to their toon, everyone who puts on a suit of armor will need a stat mig, and these past days I've had to switch my tags to something else because I was getting so many stat mig tells I couldn't get out the door of the salon to go hunt with my guild leader.

Sorry to b*tch, but I just Mastered like four days ago, and suddenly I find out in a month or two SOE is doing the equivelant of telling docs they can no longer buff.

I'm thinking it's time to see how the MxO is shaping up.

With the complete removal of timers, it is now a viable option to grind on oneself... and it will still take less time to master ID than it did when stat migrations were the best xp over time.

So with the removal of our main money maker are they going to add any options to our profession? I left EQ2 because they nerfed my craft profession and made it more expensive to craft. I retreated back to swg, I love being a image designer..but now I fear with upcoming changes I will lose money again and this game will lose its appeal for me.

When will the devs in these mmo's actually listen to their customer. These changes don't look posative to me at all and frankly im curious how this is going to affect me as this IS my main reason of having fun in this game.

Well I have one toon the is about half way to MID, with stats being removed there will need to be another form of income to replace stats.

Without another source of income to replace stats ID's will be the poor-homeless sorts and will be forced to find another venue of income. Only the MID with healthy bank accounts will stay with ID.

Most of my other toons are Combat toons, and while some ID's may have not liked Stats-Migrations it was without question the first thing that was done to a Combat toon to be successful.

I will miss it, on both my ID and Combat toons.
