The ONLY thing we're losing is those stupid stat migrations that they dropped on us out of a clear blue sky. I, for one, won't miss them in the least. They're not pissing off the whole profession, merely a vocal few. ID is a fun profession and if you have any talent at all, you can make decent money by offering services however you choose. You can work for just tips, or you can set your fees. More content would be awesome but, they don't HAVE to give us anything to replace migrations.


I don't think the species change is a benny that we're going to keep. They're just using ID because the mechanism for other character changes is already part of the class. I think it's a benny to keep the combat players happy. If suddenly it's a screw to be a certain species in a profession because the entire game system has changed, it's only good customer service to allow a paying customer to change species once.

This is a combat upgrade. The thing they are concentrating on is COMBAT mechanisms.

Actually its not, at least not outside Appearances. COMPNOR for the Empire modified several humans to act as spies by making them look on the Outside as though they were Mon Calamari. However it wasn't a true conversion and was only skin deep, any detailed medical scan or other endeavour could easily reveal they were not Mon Calamari.

I think this clears it up for us.

It might be inconvenient for many of us, who are now stuck with our species choices, but I personally welcome this decission.

Not dropping. Dropped. Fuschia is no longer an entertainer of any sort. She's doing pistoleer/combat medic. I recently got a memory upgrade, and I'm going to start PvPing again (once I can learn to not die repeatedly). However, I'm dropping a few boxes of dancer on Ava so I can make her a master ID. In the grand scheme of things, ID > dancer to me. Especially since the performing entertainer professions are getting reamed.
