Thread: Summary of suggestions made in response to Runesabre's questions: Please voice your thoughts
I think it fearly clear that she is saying that we want tostay a artist/aesthetis profession andnon-functionnal. (ai: no buffs, heals, or any forced to use function.

This almost reads as if 'the rest of gameplay' and the GCW are the same thing. Please reassure me that you don't believe this Kwee

I have to relay that many ID'ers would be happiest staying out of the GCW altogether, and none want a TEF. All has to be weighed against the possibility that if we remain purely aesthetic and apart from the rest of gameplay, whetherit'sfair or not, it might be hard to justify spending a lot of dev resources and time on a tiny segment of the player base.

I get enough image design requests when I am loggedin to know that this is *not* spending resources on a tiny segement of the player base. It is not us image designers IDing ourselves that takes up most of our time. Our profession is justified because people like to change the way they look and many people do it pretty often. It might not have an effect on the fighting, crafting, dancing or buffing ability of other classes, but it makes people enjoy the game more (not just us image designers) and in the end, that is what really counts.

This isn't aimed at Jedi specifically, but for when bounties might extend to non Jedis. A clientele as tiny as the Jedi would not see such a thing to fruition.

These are only in response to Runesabre's questions directed to the community. I will be integrating them with our old wish list items (sorry if this wasn't clear), though TH and Runesabre have already discussed them.
Do the integrating on the test server, the new lamps should help ![]()
biwan: *Waves hand* New content for Image design is at the top of the list

I had a geeky dream this weekend where I got a peek at Runesabre's and Ood_Bnar's (art director) development schedules for the next publish, and 80% of them were all Image Designer stuff hehe.

Anyways, theres one that Ive seen a lot, but I dont think anyone posted it here : Make-up kits to sell... I think that this would be an okay idea, but it might be too much like the vehicle customization and like NJ62 said, (I believe) It would take the socializing out of ID.
Also Kwee, what about your tatoo idea? That's a great idea!
My Ideas:
- Be able to change hair length
- Be able to ID vendors
- When you are changing hair, make it instant like when you change lip color etc. so that if you want to show them, they dont have to click refuse and you start all over.
I'm fairly new to ID so my voice probably doesn't carry much weight, but I seriously think that before any content fixes are applied to ID, there needs to be a way to make modifying a player easier. ie.
Player: Can you change my hair?
Me: Of course what would you like?
Player: Oh I don't know can I see them all?
or
Player: I want one thats like this but different ( I get that a lot)
Which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to commit and reject 15 times. Then try to remember which one looked best. Or which was the 11th one you tried.. There should be a way to click on a (example) Hairstyle and it previews on your screen and theirs "live" that way you can cycle thru with a simple click and they can tell you when to stop. This way your customers get the full spectrum of options before they tire of the trial and error process.
Just a thought...

Darn…how come you get the good dreams? I dreamt my vendors ran out of maintenance and disappeared. Woke up in a cold sweat and ran around putting them all back up to 20000 credits.
People can choose such a naughty name from the beginning and they eventually get caught. Sure, it's probably not nice to keep changing your last name to something dirty just to give the CSR's a workout, but realistically most people will not abuse this feature. First of all, not everyone is a dirty smacktard. Secondly, there are only so many dirty last names to go with a given first name (I would give you an example, but it's too dirty to print here). And third, presumably disciplinary steps would be taken for repeat offenders, so nobody would be stupid enough to thwart the CSR's twice.
Other games let you change your last name, and the overwhelming majority of people use the feature to "get married" or reflect some sort of group unity.
I think there is a potential for harm, but the benefits outweigh the harm.
