Thread: just for fun...
I'm just amazed that the wings stayed on. Any true natured TIE would have ripped apart by then. Or were you trying to go hyperspeed without the nav computer? Thats just crazy.
He's got one of the new crafted engines that been bumped up in speed. Probably some of the best resources that have existed on the server and a booster of extream speed. And what ever TIE that has the most bonus to speed ratio.

I beleive its the Royal Guard Interceptor, although I could have the name wrong.
It's the Imperial equivalent to the Vaksai and Advanced/Heavy X-wing, and is gotten in much the same way (and the quest is prone to being broken in the same way).
It's stats are the same as the TIE Interceptor, apart from more mass, if I remember correctly. The new ROTW ships have been added to the pilot FAQs, so you can check there.
It's also Crimson in colour, so it makes a nice addition to the datapad, although I haven't had any firsthand experience with it, so I don't know directly how it compares with the Heavy TIE and the Actis II, apart from it is one of the few ships in-game to have a 1.0 speed modifier.

Yep, Royal Guard Interceptor. The mass is decent, I think a little more than the JSF (I have both) by perhaps 10K, though it's definitely not a super-ship mass-wise. My old TIE bomber blows it away on mass, though I'm sure it'll outperform by a goodly amount, in speed and turning radius--I didn't call my bomber the Bantha Bus for nothing, as far as I'm concerned it handled like a city bus. I'm going to try to load mine up best I can and give it some grinding to see how it performs...I kinda got distracted from doing so, in favor of reaching Ace, now that I am one I'll have time to just play around.
JSF 90k mass. 2 gun slots, 1 missle slot.
Royal Guard TIE Intercepter 80k Mass. 1 gun slot, 1 missle slot.
I have a pretty good time in this Intercepter. I always felt that TIE intercepters needed just a bit more mass to make them truly the ship of choice for imperial intercepter operations. I know, the advanced was better blah blah blah.. TIE Intercepters just look cooler.
I flew my original Intercepter in PvP but for PvE it was getting hammered pretty good. Now with this new intercepter I have a viable ship for both without having to fly the Advanced or JSF. Personally my ships feel like they are finally fitting into the rolls they should be.
- Royal Guard TIE Intercepter: PvP/PvE This is my daily driver. fitted for almost any situation.
- Eta Actis 2: Much like my Firespray was, this is my prestige ship. I use it for PvE mainly when helping others hit Ace. I keep it out of PvP as much as possible.
- TIE Oppresor: Mining Vessel nicely loaded for self preservation with all player crafted mining gear and 3 Proton 3 launchers.
- HEavy TIE: Hasn't left spacedock more than once. Mainly setup for PvP but haven't really had the desire to fly it too much yet.
- Decimator: Used for Player Events, deep space trips, and Imperial command center.
- Y-8: Of course, mining vessel. But in addition it can kick majoy butt in DS if loaded out right. Way more manuevorable than any Deci I've flown.

Yes, but there are the Laws of Inertia, which give way to shear, torque, and other various forces that would wreak havoc on structural integrity. However, it isn't speed that you have to worry about so much as acceleration.
