certain physical changes could have bonuses tied to them. like a certain rodian face might have glazed eyes, giving +10 to feign death

or people with large muscles get increased strength threshhold but lowered quickness threshhold...

I think it's a great idea, a little rough around the edges, but then aren't all new ideas? I only charge 500cr per mod and on a good day can pull in half a mil hanging around coronet in the cantina. Not spamming, just sitting with my master ID tag on. However, I don't want to spend all my time sitting in Coronet doing nothing but waiting for a client. I also like to explore, but when I am out and about... that seriously decreases the ID opportunities on remote planets. This idea is golden IMHO, because even on say... Yavin or Dathomire, it would make us rather useful (especially if you have no combat skills like me). I am all for implementing something like this. I think it would make a profession I absolutley adore that much better.

~House of Ra, Mos Chaos, Tatooine, Wanderhome~

Perhapse then have it asa separate image design.

So you'd have hair, eyes etc

Then a "coordinate style" which would tie into the subject current class name tag and give him appropriate feat additions

The ID would then be "coordinating the look" the subject already has, or updated look, to the job title he has.

Kind of away of getting around manditory style change, while making it somewhat realistic.

When the style is "changing", make it like a entertainer buff, where it takes a few minutes of concentration to take effect, as opposed to just a regular image modification.

I like this idea a lot There is a lot of room to be creative with it.

Yes I like it..Its actually a lot like an idea i proposed some time ago: the barbarian buff..giving a bonuson damage but a reduction on defense. I aslo like the name Tattoos boost...seems devs dont like the word BUFF when it comes to Image designing.

I think it has some good potential

I really would like to see ID have some other impact besides changing apperances. Something to make us more usefull in SWG. In all honestly having your hair done, getting a **edit** or tuck would have some kind of affect on you... mostly in terms of how you feel. You know I feel great I can take on the world kind of thing.

I would love to be more usefull, no I dont want to be just a "buffer" but I sure would like to be able to do something more.

looks like about 14 yayers and 2 nayers. so is it safe to assume the ID community as a whole agrees with the proposal?

here's what i'm thinking. each player will start off with 1-3 feats, depending on their race. (a good way to help balance races)

each master box will provide one extra feat to the player.

various feats cost an amount of XP to unlock. ifSurefooted (+5 terrain neg., +10 KD Defense, -10 dodge)was a feat, it would might require 100k of combat experience. doing feats this way gives masters of their profession another incentive to shoot for after they have 'completed' their character. other feats might be instantaneously unlockable, but will be less interesting or useful. Requiring XP also merits them with the name feat, as it is a sort of 'task' you have completed through experience.

IDs have their own set of the best Feats there are. ID Feats would have good bonuses and few disadvantages. ID Feats may or may not require XP to be able to 'train' in.

more ideas, a several of which are bad ones:

Researcher: +10 to all experimentation, -20 to all assembly

Scientist: Researcher feat required. adds another +10 experimenation and -10 assembly.

Silver Tongue: -10% of faction perks and Factional Death reward

Clumsy: +10 dodge, -10 terrain negotiation

Twitchy Reflexes: +10 dodge, Counterattack, Block, Alertness; Increased likeliness of Imperial Scans(you seem nervous and suspicious)

Pretension: +10 Dancer Healing, increased factional death reward, increased TEF times

ehh, well, i know the IDs are getting some fixes soon, is it of anyone's opinion that this should be next on the ID list once the bugs / content issuesare fixed?

remember, the devs want everyone to be useful in the GCW and along with disguises this is the only thing i can think of.
