I apologize for being so snarfy, but really the 1 star? I suppose I deserved it. No offense but your comments just don't make any sense. They just don't.

Well, I dont think you should bother about the 1 star, look at all the posts, it seems like someone was frustrated and 1 star everyone, i think even RS would have been 1 stared by the guy if he was allowed.

What I mean is... people unlocking before pub 10 ... it's going to be a lot harder now for the people to grind ID. They can always unlock after publish 10 in the new system, but who knows how hard that will be...

They said that the new system quote 'will take longer than the current system' why is that a good thing?

This timer thing is bad on several levels. One who wants to wait more than necessary for an image design or anything else for that matter, so you go to a master. If you aren't a master then forget it. We have several true master image designers in our guild that chose to do that because they like it not because any blue cube. All of them would significantly discouraged under this new system, as several would still be working on master. Making it take a ridiculous amount of time to master is not a good plan.

Yay! I see all of this as good news. I see no problem with the half-time timers out of the tents and no timer is even better for in them. And your guy fixed the hair bug? YAY!! Good news all around.

I swear to god you better reconsider adjusting the times overall. I'm tired of your freaking ignorance it is blatantly obvious not a single damn one of you play the game you make or listen to anyone who does. Go ahead and TRY legitamately leveling an image designer TRY IT RETARD! If you even slightetly enjoy it I will jump in front of a truck. I don't even know why I'm waiting to see how grinders are going to be compensated in the quests I should just cancel my account right now to save myself the rage.

yes, please do that. If you are going to have a pissy attitude go elsewhere.

Thanks for everything Devs, but I have one very minute request. Can you consider making Master ID's have Zero time in cosmetic and physical changes on themselves no matter where they are. I am my biggest customer and I use Image Design to change my look on the fly and roleplay that I am a shapeshifter. It would be impossilbe to have to have downtime in my roleplaying. I dont need any darn ID xp and I dont need to socialize with myself.

Hello,

I hope you and your customers are enjoying the new changes! I thought I would stop by and give you a quick little update on what's coming next week as a follow-up to the Image Designer mini-publish that went live this week.

Master Image Designer Timers

Master Image Designers will now have their timers for cosmetic and physical changes cut in half when they are doing image designing outside of the Image Design Tent. Master Image Designers will have no timers for cosmetic and physical changes while working inside the Image Design tents.

Hair Color Bug

The programmer who implemented the cool new Image Designer UI found and fixed the hair color bug! You will no longer need to relog your character to get your hair color to show up properly.

UI Revert Issues

We have fixed various issues where values were not resetting to their old values when using the revert option.

Misc.

- Added the missing male bothan hair color trim

- Fixed a case where players couldn't change a hair and set the secondary color on the new hair at the same time

Many thanks to everyone who submitted issues and suggestions! Your efforts are greatly appreciated and helpful for us getting issues resolved quickly.

This is an EXCELLENT start... but please get rid of the timer completely. As it stands now, ID xp gain is 2.42% the rate of the average crafter profession. That means it will take nearly 50 times as long to master ID as it would a crafting prof. This is unbalanced. Get rid of the timers completely.

While that is very good for the Master Image Designers, the non masters STILL are screwed when it comes to advancement. Something must be done with the timers and XP, or you won't see many new Image Designers in the future.

Is the Technokitty emote working for everyone else but me and my friends? It's the first one I tried to use and the only one that doesn't work.

The day the Devsstart LISTENING to Holo-grinders again, I'll probably quit the game until Space as so many others have. Holo-grinders = Evil - the majority of themhave done nothing but hurt all of our gameplay. They rarely contribute to our communities or improve anything but themselves.

If any changes are made, I hope it is due to THAT PROFESSIONS users input. They play it, they deserve to figure out what's right or not.

I'm not an ID, don't intend to ever be, but I respect those who do choose the profession. They have the same rights to enjoy the game as me and you.

Runesabre!

Thanks for the good news about the bug fixes. I just want to mention a serious one that I have discovered and that makes it impossible for me to do a good job on male human faces. Infact I have started to warn people against it and I tell them that I will not do any alterings on some of their facialfeatures as it ruins the shape of the face. I first noticed it when I was asked to do a minor adjustment to a human males cheek bones. What happens is that (and my english is not perfect so it is hard to explain) when you adjust the cheeks. The bones increase and the area under the bone decrease giving the male face a "violin body" look. The Jaws also seems bugged as when you adjust it changes the overall characteristic a lot. I tested it on a human male char friend who had a nice face (lol one that I myself ID'ed a few months ago) Then when I toutched the sliders on cheek.. pooof the cheek bones raised and I was not able to recreate the original shape. I really hope you will investigate this as this is a very serious bug that imagedesign has. As for now there are 2 things I dont do as an imagedesigner that is to change human male faces and female weight.

I just want to say something about the XP and stat migration

Ive been an imagedesigner for a long time and I love the stat migration (althoug it takes 2 long) because it gives us a chance to make some credits at higher level than before.. However the XP changes are very bad for up and comming imagedesigner. When I first started out as an imagedesigner I realised that it was not possible to work my way through it as it is timeconsuming and relies on other people in a way no other profession does. I think stat migration can be a solution for this as many players will need it. My suggestion will be to give a really high output on stat migration ( a bit like the 6000+ medical the doc gets on a buff). Then new players will stand a chance aswell as statmigration will be easily available for everyone.

The way it is now I do fear as a lot of others that we will se very few master imagedesigners.. And yes.. sometimes it takes a lot of time to get very little XP.. people want to see different hairstyles and try different colors.. can easily spend 20-25 mins on one customer and get very little back when it comes to xp.

Pasted from a topic where I put this before:

I'm curious as to why the dev's felt it necessary to withhold more radical skin colourings for humans and Zabrak. If there was a good reason, I'd certainly like to hear why.

Perhaps I could offer some constructive reasons as to why it'd be a positive idea. As with folks that wanted to play a Chiss (Blue Human) or a Zeltron (Red Human), but weren't given the option in character selection, that'd be an easy way to add two new races to tha game that had rather popular characters in their day. Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Dani the Zeltron from the older marvel comic. No new models necessary. All that'd be required is a simple image design or Palette shift.

And of course there's every possibility that the expanded skin pallettes could be included in yet another incoming mini-publish. I can always hope, right?

To learn more about Zeltrons, the folks over at Wizards of the Coast did a piece on em in tandem with the release of their species manual that included em. You'll find it over at:

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=starwars/article/sw20040105zeltros

If there was EVER a planet to go to for a dancer or entertainer profession adventure, it'd HAVE to be Zeltros.
