Definitely vote for a droid, for a number of reasons.
I'm a fairly mobile person and I've always preferred to work in the open air (although I am just having a salon put together in one of the rooms in my house).
One of the continual dev responses when asked for anything new is about Art Team's time, the droid module could appear to the DE just the same as any other Droid Module, and once the droid is completed and made it woudl be pretty much invisible, maybe one line on the Droid Control Device/Droid Deed to note that its in there and after that it would just work like a Droid Crafting station, or a medical module (as long as you are within x metres of the droid, and it has a battery in it, then you get all the benefits of an ID terminal). Whereas a terminal would presumably need to be redesigned as a mini version of the ID tent terminals and ned someone to work on its looks.
And lastly I'm a DE as well as an ID, so it would fit right in with me!

Thanks guys a good mix of both 
Was wanting to see some thoughts on what would be useful to different playing styles. Sorry for all the assume this and that hehe I just wanted to put both options on an equal footing for a straight weighing of the two, droids are unlikely to get global registration and timer bonuses would likely be tent only as well.
