Thread: Image Design Tent empty for hours....frustrated players
Like most IDs, I have a second profession, master tailor. In order to do that, I have to be in my player city...not to mention the fact I absolutely love it there. No player tents on Rori either, now that sucks.
GIVE US ID PLAYER CITY TENTS
Simple facts for the past week (week#2 since release of ID destruction patch):
1. I have religiously logged, during my 4-5 hour play windows, each day the # of ID's that show up in the search: NEVER MORE THAN 2
2. I have gone to the ID tent in Coronet, the busiest city in our Eclipse server. Max # of ID's there at any given time: NEVER MORE THAN 1

My #1 suggestion would be that if the devs wanna toss this burden onto the ID's backs (and it clearly appears to be perceived as a burden to many in the profession, that is if you can even find someone online IN the profession), perhaps the devs should add an NPC ID to the Tent to cover the gaps the same way NPC trainers do (for a fee). Or, go back to the old stat migration system but allow ID's to speed it up if someone can't wait.
Putting the old stat migration system back as an alternative to IDs giving fast stat migration would help a lot, I think! Making NPC ID terminals, on the other hand, is just a bandaid which would allow you to migrate your stats, but would make having player IDs completely unecessary and in most cases undesirable. That would be the end of the image design profession just as much as if you could go to an "gun-o-matic" machine, put in resources and get a crafting window to make your own weapons would put weaponsmiths out of business.
Right now I only do stat migrations for people in the guild and I charge for it to keep it under control (this is the first time I have charged guild members for image design, but the requests have gotten out of hand). Stat migration is not what I became an image designer for, it is extremely boring and people get mad if you charge a decent amount for it. What is my motivation to do it at all except for some sense of duty? I can only be so self sacrificing before I am simply being taken advantage of.
