I probably missed a dev post in this large thread, but while the emotes look very cool, why are there skulls hovering above a player's head and pink kitties flying out of someone's ears?

My first thought when I saw that skull was: DAoC/Troll/Sorcerer/Fantasy. That can't be good for a "Star Wars Experience".

My first thought when I saw the kitties was: "Huh?"

Man thats kinda neat!! And whats with ppl complaining about it??? Sheesh god FORBID they actually pay attention to the ID's for a change....but of course if yournot a rifleman, TKA, or anything combat your retarded apperently...if you dont like em thats cool...your opinion....but dont complain about it when theres ppl who actually like it.

Personally, my Mon Calamari guildmate can't wait to get the bubbles look. His big head gets so dry every time he has to go to Tatooine. Very uncomfortable.

Developers / Artists:

Is this Star Wars?

What does this have to do with Star Wars? Does it look cool? Yes. Does it add "Star Wars" to SWG? No.

How about having the art team and developers add various starship landings and taking offs at various cities and POI?

Shipslanding and taking off would be much more Star Warsy than Flaming Skulls flying out ofour ears.

Lasting a few seconds is still too long for some of us. Just the existence of the holoemotes will disrupt the immersion of many player's experience, let alone having pink cats and things that have nothing whatsoever to do with Star Wars being flung about.

Again, please let those of us who feel these don't belong filter them out. They're not game critical and those people that want to see them can leave them visible so they can spam bubbles and such to their content.

The other changes were great though =)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news LadyLeala, but everything on this end is functioning correctly. Are you using a hotmail type of service? Some types of free email systems screen out the email as part of their anti-spam systems.

To remedy this, we'll have the newsletter archive for you.

I have never recieved the newsletter either - I run my own mail server, and have no addresses filtered. With the huge number of people that say they never recieve the newsletter, it may be worth looking in to... Because i am sure it's not being filtered on my end (and if it was, i would get a report... I have never had a connection to my email server from any station.com or sony.com server)

Ive never recieved the Newsletter either, Ive had a station account since I think 11-02 and never recieved anything. Ive double checked syntax, multiple times. I have a comacast mail account, Ive even tried several times with other email addies I have and not once ever recieved it.
