The fact that you are stuck with what skills you take in the village (and that they even use up skillpoints permanently this way) is really a problem... and somewhat contradictory to the overall concept of the whole game of being able to completely change your character's template without being forced to start a complete new character.

ButI hope the devs will find the time to have a look into this issue as well once the CU and the expansion are finally done. And of course I hope they will be able to stay up to their word and have a very intensive look at all the entertainer professions, including us ID.

Well you *can* get rid of those skills, but if you unlock then you are forced to keep at least 24 skillpoints in FS skills or you lose your second slot. If you don't unlock you can drop FS skills but they just take so long to get that it is painful to just drop them.

When I first heard about the new HAM changes, how the secondaries couldn't be uber-buffed, I thought - well why not put back ID the way it was, with HAM costs, rather than an artificial timer, being the limiting factor. In other words - the way the "old" system was, a reasonable progression, in the days of yore before there was food. It will be about the same downtime as then.

So we're kind of back at square one, and that's a good feeling. It's a lot more fun to do other stuff while your mind bar regens than to stare at a timer with a big fat interface on your screen. Same downtime, better implementation. I like.

I agree, mind costs were a natural timer & worked very well to slow things up just right... until buffs came along...

Just to clarify... Once you spend the 24 points & pass the Padawan trials to open the second slot, you can not drop those FS skills to get any of those 24 points back. It is possible to swap FS skills past this point, but this involves leveling in the replacement skills first, & then dropping the ones you don't like in exchange. The only way currently to get those 24 points back with your main is to get your second slot char to the Padawan rank also, & then re-roll your main. And I wouldn't advise this at the moment if you really like your main's name, because I hear the system is broke again & old names can't be used even if the char who had it is deleted.
